Aldi restocks the mid-aisle with iconic beauty buys including Dyson hairdryer, lip kits and new Sol De Janerio copies

ALDI stood out this weekend with its special buys.

Midway aisles across the country were stocked with fan-favorite beauty products.

Back in store, but for a limited time, are the supermarket’s iconic Lip Kits, Dyson hairdryer and new Sol De Janerio-inspired tropical beauty balms – to name a few.

Visage Iconic Hairdryer – £14.99

Aldi’s iconic hairdryer is back and is £314 cheaper than the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer its design was inspired by.

With a three-year warranty, customers can choose between pink and gray or blue and gold.

But what did Fabulous beauty writer Mia Lyndon think of the hairdryer? She put it to the test and shared her thoughts…

“This is an ionic hair dryer, which uses negatively charged ions to deal with water molecules and dry your hair, rather than heating it,” she explained.

“While you should still use heat protection when drying, this technology reduces damage that can cause dryness, thinning and split ends.

“Ionic hair dryers also tend to dry hair faster and can help minimize frizz.

“The removable inlet grille is a great feature as it allows you to easily clean the filter, which can lead to reduced effectiveness and a burning smell.

“Compared to Dyson, the ALDI hairdryer is heavier, which means it’s less comfortable and more hassle to use,” noted Mia.

“It usually takes me a while to dry my long, thick hair, so using this dryer would make my hand sore.

“But the dryer has a simple control panel, which allows you to increase the heat and speed, as well as a cold spray (which is great for fixing the look after styling).

“The Dyson Supersonic has five attachments, whereas the Aldi hairdryer only has one styling concentrator.

“And while this is great for smoothing cuticles, resulting in less frizz and flyaways, the attachment is difficult to attach and detach – I thought about breaking it on the first try!

“Overall, it’s a good hairdryer for the price.”

Lacura Fabulash Mascara/Primer – £4.99

Said to promote stronger lashes, Aldi’s mascara/primer kit is “double beauty”.

Formulated with conditioning and lash-strengthening ingredients including panthenol and Vitamin E, the primer strengthens lashes for a perfect mascara base, while the mascara amplifies lashes that last all day and night without clumping.

Lacura Lip Kit – £4.49 each

Update your makeup routine with Aldi’s iconic lip kit.

There are three shades to choose from; Almost Nude, Sugar Velvet or Just Peach.

Lacura Bag Fragrances – £1.99

These small fragrances are ideal to keep in your bag and refresh yourself throughout the day. Choose between Dark Blossom, Guardian or Lady.

Tropical Essence Booty Balm – £4.99

Aldi is the latest store to bring a Sol De Janerio model to its beauty aisle.

The Tropical Essence Booty Balm is said to “firm skin and add a healthy glow.”

There’s also a Body Scrub with the same sweet vanilla and salted caramel scent for £3.99.

Ceramic candle – £3.99

New to the Hotel Collection are three elegant ceramic candles with a burn time of approximately 30 hours.

Choose from Garden Melody, Green Ivy and Honeysuckle.

Also available in the same three fragrances is the Ceramic Reed Diffuser for £3.99 from the same brand, which lasts approximately seven weeks.

Pantone Wireless Headphones – £12.99

You don’t need to spend a lot on an expensive pair of headphones to enjoy your music.

Aldi’s Bluetooth headphones have a built-in microphone and can play music for up to eight hours.
