BEAUTY fans have reason to celebrate today after Superdrug announced that its cult oil spray is finally back in stock.
The shimmering oil spray, with SPF 20, costs £5.19, while there’s also an after-sun version for £3.99.
News of the new arrival was shared on the Metrocentre in Gatshead’s Superdrug TikTok page, as they wrote alongside the video: “GUESS WHAT’S BACK.
“The Solait trendy glow oils you all went crazy for last year are back in stock!!!”
They added that the sprays are “perfect for that summer glow.”
In a description on the Superdrug website, it says that the sprays are “dermatologically tested”, as well as being water resistant and offering five-star UVA protection.
They are also “quickly absorbed”.
And people in the comments section were quick to share their joy at the product being available once again.
“My favorite, made me so dark last year,” one person wrote.
“I need this for the holidays!” another added.
As positive reviews continued to pour in on the Superdrug website.
“I bought this for a holiday last year and it was great,” someone else commented.
“I rarely burn, but I like to wear SPF 15 or higher, so this was perfect.
“It sinks in quickly and the subtle shine makes you look like a glowing goddess.
‘Just be warned that this transfers some onto clothes (like most sun oils/creams). I will definitely be stocking up for the holidays this year.
“I bought this product for my vacation abroad,” commented another.
“The sparkling aspect of the product attracted me.
“I suffer from dry skin, so the oil will hydrate my skin and also protect it from the sun.”
“Very easy to apply, looks great in the sun, has a very good scent and at the same time offers 5* protection,” added another person.
The importance of sunscreen in your skin care routine
Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez – known as Dray – revealed why you should wear sunscreen.
The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this is important for all ages – is to protect your skin from the sun, Andrea emphasized.
“The vast majority of external aging is due to exposure to ultraviolet radiation,” she continued, not because you “aren’t using a jazzy serum or putting 90 different things on your face every day.”
“If you’re not in your 20s, start now.”
But she said using sunscreen alone isn’t enough. Andrea recommended that you also wear sun-protective clothing, such as wide-brimmed hats and long sleeves, and not spend too much time in the sun.
Doing this throughout your life—and year-round, not just during the summer or on sunny days—”will reduce the visible signs of photoaging,” Andrea said.
These are wrinkles, confused pigmentation and sagging skin.
“Recommended if you want a golden glow.”
After others even admitted that they use the afternoon sun to give a beautiful glow on an evening out.
“I have the after-sun, I love it, it smells amazing,” added another.
“I use it as a moisturizer when I go out.”
