A HAIR expert has shared some of her tried and tested tricks for growing eyebrows.
But if you need a little extra help, he suggested three additional tips to make them thicker.
Elihair The clinic’s founder, Dr. Abdulaziz Balwi, offers leading and innovative procedures in the field of graft removal.
Based in Istanbul, Dr. Balwi used his many years of industry experience to share hair revitalization advice with The US Sun.
REAL REASONS
There can be many reasons why your eyebrows may be thinner or not as full as they used to be.
“Eyebrow hair loss can also be the result of a poor diet or nutrient deficiency,” he said.
He explained that our eyebrows need a variety of vitamins and minerals to grow healthily.
One of the first things you should do is consult your doctor to make sure you do not have any type of deficiency.
“Additionally, a balanced diet should help maintain healthy hair growth,” he added.
In particular, he suggested incorporating biotin and keratin into your diet.

“They are known to support hair growth, including eyebrows, and thicken their structure, helping to combat hair loss,” he said.
An economical and easy-to-follow way to try to grow your eyebrows is to use a growth serum.
Dr. Balwi advised using it daily for best results, once in the morning and once in the evening.
If these more natural methods don’t work for you, Dr. Balwi recommended some more intense measures.
They include microblading, eyebrow hair transplant and eyebrow lamination that made eyebrows appear thicker almost instantly.
REAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Microblading
The expert said that eyebrow embroidery, also known as microblading eyebrows, is a relatively new eyebrow treatment.
“During the procedure, the tattoo ink is pressed into micro-incisions in the eyebrow area made with a surgical blade,” he explained.
The effects are not permanent and eventually disappear over time.
The hair-like strokes require annual top-ups and can sometimes be lengthened every 18 months.
While eyebrow embroidery gets fantastic immediate results, Dr. Balwi admitted that there are some negative side effects.
For example, paint stains and fades over time.
“Additionally, due to all the microcuts made to the eyebrows, the skin turns into scar tissue that causes damage to existing hair follicles,” he added.
Therefore, microblading may seem like a good short-term solution, but it can cause lasting damage that stunts hair growth.
Eyebrow hair transplant
On the other hand, Dr. Balwi explained that eyebrow transplants insert hair follicles from the back of the head into the eyebrows.
“Hairs are implanted in the precise direction of hair growth for a natural appearance,” he said.
“This eyebrow treatment essentially places new hairs into the eyebrows to make them fuller, thus restoring the thicker eyebrows that have been lost.”

It is a unique procedure that does not require touch-ups like the previous method.
Balwin said eyebrow transplant treatment is the only permanent solution that provides eyebrows with natural texture and dimension.
“The results are much more natural due to the texture of the hair, compared to the straight results of tattooing,” he added.
Eyebrow lamination
Brow lamination is a popular new trend that creates the “look of full, sleek brows with a glossy finish” with minimal effort.
It’s similar to the way people appear in magazines and on social media.
Balwi explained that eyebrow hairs are brushed vertically with a glossy setting lotion to achieve a “fuller, more natural brow.”
“This is good after a brow treatment because it helps train your brows to maintain the desired growth direction,” he explained.
