Retinol is one of the buzzwords in anti-aging beauty products.
“This promotes cell renewal and has been a game changer for me,” said Dr. Zion.
Retinol also exfoliates the skin, increases collagen production and stimulates skin renewal.
“A must-have product to combat wrinkled skin, fine lines and wrinkles,” she said.
But some people avoid using this product because it can cause irritation and inflammation, she said.
There was a way around this and she recommended using Kopari Beauty Clinical Ultra Renewal Retinol Body Cream, $42.
Anti-aging tips and ‘superstar’ products
Dr. Anatália Moore is a general practitioner and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.
She told The US Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin’s journey.
She said the basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages – it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer and SPF.
“Moisturizers are my go-to, even when it comes to products that contain active ingredients,” she said.
“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them literally stabilizes the skin.
“This alone can quickly soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as these are often worsened by dehydration.
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“It can then heal more quickly, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, fewer flare-ups of dermatitis and rosacea, and milder, shorter-lasting breakouts.”
Dr. Moore’s Basic Skin Care Products:

“This contains encapsulated retinol, which means stable retinol is released over time, reducing the risk of irritation,” she wrote.
“Don’t steal that goodness from your body,” she added.
There was a mixed reaction in the comments to her post.
“A must-have in my routine,” said one person.
“Definitely upping my routine,” echoed a second.
But some people said signs of aging weren’t necessarily a bad thing.
“I actually love these lines and, for me, it is one of the most attractive features of a person. Please hug them,” one viewer wrote.
“It means you are aging gracefully and still alive,” added another.
