A SKINCARE fan has shared a cheap buy that helps them with post-acne blemishes.
After a month of use, the changes were so dramatic on their acne-prone skin that they said they almost didn’t recognize themselves.
Editor Broccoli Beans shared the beauty recommendation in a post.
They credited the $10.90 The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil with PIE fading or post-inflammatory erythema.
PIES are discoloration marks left on the skin after acne heals.
Acne, hormonal problems and stress can cause post-inflammatory erythema.
Despite Broccoliandbeans’ best attempt to free themselves from their PIE, their initial efforts were futile.
“About eight months ago, I used a home lactic acid peel (oops) once every five days to to try and help fade my PIE”, they explained.
“It did absolutely nothing for me! I cut out lactic acid completely and just used my regular acne products.”
After switching to The Ordinary’s Rosehip Oil, they quickly started seeing results.

“A little over a month ago, I introduced rosehip seed oil into my routine and DANG,” they said.
“Today I was looking at myself in the mirror and thought ‘Is that me?’” they joked.
“I still have some PIE marks, but they have disappeared and I have seen progress.
They urged other people struggling with PIE to try the affordable product.
“It’s so frustrating to use a product for a few months and feel like it’s not doing anything! Please give it a try if you haven’t already!”
Many viewers agreed that the oil did what other skincare couldn’t.

“Agree 100%. I use COSRX Whitehead Liquid Power AHA, wait 30 minutes and apply rosehip oil TO before bed,” said one commenter.
“My skin is starting to look like rich people’s skin.”
One viewer added that the oil worked so well it gave him a baby face.
“In our house, we refer to it as ‘fetus face.’ Like, ‘I’m going to look so young that people will think I’m actually a sentient, walking fetus,'” they joked.
“I LOVE rosehip and will always be an advocate for it,” said another.
Although they didn’t use the same brand, they explained that the oil changed their skin for the better.
“It’s actually the first product that really got me into skincare and it was a product that gave me results just by washing my face and not toning or masking,” they said.
“This helps with my acne. If I get new breakouts, I add a little extra rosehip and the pimples go away. This will never leave my routine.”
