Tips for FRENCH or maybe an all-white moment – just some of the most popular choices when it comes to getting a pedicure.

But in Los Angeles, USA, it seems like the hottest summer trend of the year is pickle-inspired toes that look like they have foot fungus.

Yes, that’s right — 3D nail art depicting crunchy pickles and even a jar of the cult-favorite closet item painted on your nails.

While many of us opt for an ombré design or opt for more vibrant colors, music producer Benny Blanco recently left social media users utterly horrified with his pickled fingers.

The 36-year-old, who is dating American singer and actress Selena Gomez, 31, reportedly even asked his nail technician to paint his girlfriend’s favorite brand of pickle too, Yahoo! he said earlier.

Benny, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, proudly showed off his new pedicure in a nail technician’s Instagram post @nailedbytav.

The star, who began dating Selena in mid-2023, shared close-up photos of her pickled feet via Instagram Stories.

Both big toes included the logo of Selena’s favorite pickle brand – Best Maid Pickles – while the rest of the fingers included complex, realistic nail art to resemble pickles.

Stunned and in utter shock, fans flooded nail tech post to share his thoughts on Benny’s new toes, as well as his dedication to the 31-year-old.

“This guy is committed [as f**k],” one user wrote, while another described the pair as “couple goals.”

“Such a great job! I love that these are her favorite pickles, he committed like hell [as f**k] if you ask me. I loved this for my queen,” one user added.

“Nothing says love like leaving your girls with pickles on their toes,” laughed one social media user.

I’m addicted to growing out my nails and now they’re so long I can’t even wear regular shoes and I love how glamorous they look

Nail trends for 2024

Last year we painted our nails every color of the rainbow. But what will we ask of our nail technicians in 2024?

According to celebrity nail artist Kim Truong, the ‘dark academic’ trend will see the rise of dark, dirty colors.

Nail technician Malkia Brown has claimed that glossy nails will be huge in 2024.

Trang Ho, a nail educator from Australia, explained that the abstract nail trend is expected to become popular this year.

Meanwhile, UK nail expert Julita Fagan predicted a rise in the ‘blush’ nail trend.

At the same time, Carolina Lopez Roque, founder of an Amsterdam beauty salon, predicted that classic red nails are back.

But not everyone appreciated the romantic gesture, as many were horrified by the rather bizarre design.

“Omg no, it looks like they have fungus,” one person wrote.

“That might be a step too far!” Another person wasn’t a fan of the pickle aesthetic either.

One mother joked: ”I just sent this to my daughter, who had permanent damage to her big toe when a jar of pickles fell on it.”

The design also included Selena's favorite pickle brand.
