Lim suggested affordable items to combat and hide dark circles.

She said Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer has a “great consistency” that doesn’t “accentuate texture” or dryness around the eyes.

It also comes in multiple colors, including a neutralizing yellow shade and bright pink shades for even darker eyes.

The makeup lover also recommended the Naturium Vitamin Bright Illuminating Under Eye Cream, which comes in two flexible shades.

“It contains vitamin K which helps to strengthen blood vessels and produce a more uniform skin tone”, he explains.

The budget-friendly buy also features light-reflecting particles to visually brighten the under-eye area.

YOUTH NEEDS

Lim also revealed some must-have products to showcase youthful, glowing skin overall.

Naturium Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.05% is “a conversion” from the popular tretinoin, which is only available with a prescription.

Lim said the Naturium serum is “great for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne and pores.”

Another item she praised was the Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow foundation, which she described as “lightweight” and “bright” with many skin benefits.

She added that the “beautiful thin serum base” adds an “instant filter” to improve skin’s appearance over time.

“It also adjusts very well to each user’s skin tone as it uses color-adaptive bromine technology,” she added.

COMPLICATED TRENDS

Lim also offered some useful tricks for disguising facial aging.

“Always make sure to keep your skin hydrated. Nothing ages your appearance like dry skin,” she said.

She admitted that she loves working mostly with liquid and cream products on mature skin and limits the use of powder to only where it’s needed.

“People are often afraid of color too, but you need to add color to your face to create a youthful appearance,” she added.

Lim also said it was a “myth” that mature women cannot wear glitter.

“You just need to make sure the glitters you use are finely milled. Chunky glitters or shimmers are what tend to accentuate the texture,” she explained.

“Refined glitters can add a beautiful glow to the skin without aging the wearer.”
