A DERMATOLOGIST has shared his unique method for combating dry scalp and hair – it’s all about the products you use.
He revealed his sandwich method that he also teaches dermatology students and the items needed to revitalize their hair.
Dr.@drnomzzy) is a cosmetic dermatologist who also teaches others interested in the field.
When he’s not teaching, he shares skin care and beauty tips that work from head to toe.
In a viral Instagram Reel, he revealed the step-by-step process behind his “sandwich method.”
He described it as “amazing for dry hair” and was easy to follow.
The main ingredient is conditionerbut it is used in all four stages as a hair mask.
The first step is to wash your hair with water and apply conditioner to all strands up to the ends.
Then, do not rinse off the conditioner and put shampoo on top of the scalp, before massaging.
In the third step, wash the shampoo and conditioner together.

Finally, cover the lengths and ends again with conditioner and then wash everything for the last time.
Not everyone liked the benefits of the beauty tip.
“My conditioner costs too much for this kind of shenanigans,” wrote one viewer.
“Hmmm, I mean, he’s a doctor, but not a cosmetologist, because the entire length of the hair needs to be washed, not just the roots. This will only make your hair heavy and oily over time,” commented another.
“Wasting conditioner twice?” a woman added.
The medical professional has a similar sandwich trick for those new to retinol who use moisturizer.
Mohamed suggested in the video’s caption that another option would be to swap the conditioner for coconut oil on the lengths and ends.
Other viewers were excited about the hair remedy and had already tried it.
“So I do this for the second shampoo. The first time I washed everything normally. The second time I just washed my scalp and conditioned the ends,” someone shared.
“Let it rest for a few minutes, rinse and then condition the length. I noticed a big difference!”
“I tried it. It’s good,” said another.
Absolute collagen trichologist Eva Proudman recommended washing your hair every day, especially after exercise.
She said it doesn’t dry out the scalp or produce excess oil.
She also advised against following viral hacks on social media, including drying your sweaty hair.
