STAR Khechara is not known as The Age Hacker for no reason.

The 48-year-old managed to shave off years of hair and skin through incredibly simple methods – and she helps others do the same.

Her latest revelation is how she stopped her once-breakage-prone hair from falling out in clumps by harnessing the power of certain foods.

The anti-aging expert insists that our skin and hair need to be nourished internally, not through expensive lotions and potions.

And according to Star, this approach means she now has “lush, long, shiny hair at 48.”

“I used to struggle with hair breakage and would even lose chunks of it when I was on a bad diet,” she shared on Instagram.

“Now, I build luscious, long, shiny hair at 48 on a super-hydrating, fruit-centered diet.

“On a mermaid scale, how does your hair look today?”

That’s right: Star says the key to growing your hair is eating more fruit.

She calls fruit “the dark horse of food” because “there are things in fruit that aren’t even in vegetables.”

The face lift diet

Star is the pioneer of the Facelift Diet.

“The Facelift Diet is basically a fruit-centric, plant-based anti-aging diet,” she explained to Fabulous earlier this year.

“It’s about eating plenty of anti-aging foods.

“It’s not restrictive or calorie counting or anything.

“Certain foods have rejuvenating properties and you can slow down aging with your diet.”

And revealing the supermarket’s essential shopping list, she said: “It’s all about fruit.

The 4 phases of the hair growth cycle

Hair experts at Philip Kingsley have shared the four stages of the hair growth cycle: Anagen, Catagen, Telogen and Exogen.

Anagen Phase: Also known as the ‘Growth Phase’ or ‘Active Phase’, this is when the hair root cells divide more quickly, forming more new hair.

During the anagen phase, hair grows about half an inch per month [about six inches a year]and faster in summer than in winter.

This phase of the hair growth cycle lasts an average of three to five years.

Catagen Phase: After the Anagen Phase, your hair cycle enters a short transition phase known as the Catagen Phase, which signals the end of active hair growth and cuts off individual strands from the blood supply and cells that produce new hair.

Approximately three percent of all hair is in this stage at any given time and it lasts for about 10 days.

Telogen Phase: The third stage of the natural hair growth cycle is the Telogen Phase, a resting period in which strands remain in the follicles but are not actively growing.

An estimated 10 to 15 percent of your hair is in the telogen phase at any given time.

The Telogen Phase lasts about three months or 100 days.

Exogenous Phase: The final phase of the Hair Growth Cycle, when individual hairs are released from their follicles and fall out.

Now the whole process starts again.

“If you take anything away from this, eat more fruit.

“There are things in fruits that aren’t even in vegetables.

“It’s the underdog of the food groups.”

Yes Peas

Star is also a big fan of frozen peas — a humble, inexpensive vegetable that has a serious anti-aging effect.

She recently joined Yes Peasa campaign dedicated to defending round vegetables, to share their benefits.

“Peas have a unique blend of phytochemicals, including genistein and daidzein, which have been shown to slow collagen loss and fight skin aging,” Star explained.

“As estrogen levels decline during this phase, peas offer a natural solution to boost collagen production, preserving skin’s firmness and resilience for a youthful complexion.

“Harnessing the power of chlorophyll, peas increase skin elasticity and reduce facial wrinkles.

“This natural anti-aging agent, combined with the nutrient-rich composition of peas, contributes to a youthful and luminous complexion.”
