A BEAUTY fan created her own serum that grew her eyebrows and lashes with minimal effort.

It had to do with the skin medicine’s natural ingredients that revitalized her plucked eyebrows.

Reddit user Eylibe created his own serum twice and “found it to be quite effective.”

She shared this in a Comment under another Redditor’s request for DIY eyelash serum recipes.

“My eyebrows grew back after I plucked them and filled in some gaps in my lashes,” she explained.

She created a “simple oleo gel”, which is a semi-solid gel with a consistency similar to a cream, but almost completely free of water.

Hers contained about 50% aloe vera gel and 50% castor oil.

She then added some active ingredients such as panthenol, silk proteins, hyaluronic acid and glycerin.

“Have your active ingredients separated from the oil base?” one Redditor asked.

“First I added the water-soluble ingredients to the aloe vera gel, mixed well and added the oil at the very end,” replied Eylibe.

She also added a few drops of vitamin E.

“They didn’t separate and, when I use it, I make a point of stirring the solution a little before applying,” he explained.

All of these ingredients are very common in most skincare products.

Eylibe really liked the serum and said it didn’t irritate her face.

“In addition to its effectiveness, I find it to be very gentle on the eyes,” she said.

Previously, she only used castor oil as a natural option for hair growth, but the side effects were uncomfortable.

“It made my eyes very watery, sore and swollen in the morning,” she said.

Other readers had similar experiences and were eager to try the natural recipe.

One person had the same reaction to castor oil.

“I am delighted with your homemade serum. One of my favorite homemade recipes so far,” they wrote.

“I certainly couldn’t replace that all-natural product with others on the world market.”

The Redditor revealed that her favorite growth product is Cherish Lash Seru because it’s “the least harmful.”

In the end, they admitted that although they like the product, they also make DIY beauty items.
