Reddit user Razorpsico shared their most important skin care tip.

They explained in a publish why more people should implement it into their routine.

A sleep tip can make a difference in how often you experience breakouts or other skin problems.

They recommended that you change your pillowcase and sheets frequently.

“I don’t know how to put it mildly, it’s probably one of the most underrated tips for everyone,” they said.

If you religiously follow a morning and evening beauty routine but still get pimples, there may be a reason.

Pillowcases and sheets stay on your body every night and absorb oil that may leak from your skin.

The Redditor also said to check your pillowcase and sheets frequently because “it’s a breeding ground for all kinds of bacteria.”

They admitted that they also stopped touching their faces excessively, which contributed to clearing their skin.

Razorpsycho shared that they change their sheets every two weeks.

“Just like people always say to change your pillows regularly, change your sheets weekly,” agreed another Redditor.

“Your blankets or whatever you use to cover yourself while you sleep should also be washed regularly.”

I’m 47 and I always get asked about my youthful skin – a $10 anti-aging product burns a little, but I love it, I use it twice a week

According to mattress company sleep experts LeesaYou should change your pillowcase at least once a week, but every few days is ideal.

“However, in a realistic world, once a week is good enough for most and helps prevent skin, dirt and oil build-up,” they said.

Redditor Careful-Locksmith-89 called it one of three things that made a “huge impact” on her acne-prone skin.

They also revealed that they air dry after washing their face, rather than using a towel, and apply moisturizer when their skin is already damp.

Many Redditors also implemented the action and even offered additional advice.

“My tip is: if you can’t change your pillowcases every day, put a new, clean cotton t-shirt on top while you sleep,” one of them suggested.

“If nothing is available, I sleep on my arm, but I never touch my cheek to unfamiliar surfaces.”

Another recommended switching to satin pillows because they aid in both anti-aging and hair care, reducing frizz and breakage.

“You’ll have fewer wrinkles and your skin care won’t absorb as much compared to cotton pillows,” they explained.

Anti-aging tips and ‘superstar’ products

Dr. Anatália Moore is a general practitioner and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.

She told The US Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin’s journey.

She said the basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages – it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer and SPF.

“Moisturizers are my go-to, even when it comes to products that contain active ingredients,” she said.

“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right type of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them literally stabilizes the skin.

“This alone can quickly soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as these are often worsened by dehydration.

“It also allows the skin to function as it should.

“It can then heal more quickly, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, fewer flare-ups of dermatitis and rosacea, and milder, shorter-lasting breakouts.”
