Stylist Kaká, owner of the New York-based store Super Skills Hair Salonspoke exclusively to The US Sun about the best ways to drive growth.

The professional explained that they experienced significant hair loss that led to visible bald spots.

According to the expert, reducing stress is essential to combat hair loss.

“I remember losing chunks of hair during a very stressful time, but after I improved my sleep hygiene and started eating regularly, my hair started to improve,” explained Kaká.

The stylist revealed a snack he suggests for those who want to boost their hair growth.

“In traditional Chinese medicine, black sesame seeds have long been believed to promote hair growth,” they said.

“I’m not a doctor and I can’t speak to the science behind them, but they sure taste good and bring me a lot of happiness.”

The expert also revealed a common hair washing mistake that could be damaging your locks.

“For very oily hair days, washing twice can be helpful,” said the expert.

“If you want a specific style, my motto is ‘Slow and steady wins the race,'” they explained.

The stylist revealed that he dedicates hours to any client undergoing a significant change to their locks.

“I regularly spend 7-10 hours with my clients who want to go from very dark hair to my iconic platinum blonde, to minimize damage.”

Simple maintenance can also help prevent damage to permed or colored hair.

Kaká recommended “regular cuts and loose styles” for anyone with processed hair.

“Tight, high ponytails for a long period of time have the potential to cause hair breakage and recession,” they said.
