SHE couldn’t wait to show off her new ring on social media.

But when she did, the bride-to-be was inundated with people saying the same thing – about her nails.

She posted a video on TikTok of herself participating in the “it’s not just a stone, it’s a rock” trend, which involves brides-to-be showing off their incredible engagement rings.

The clip began with her hand clenching, before she turned her hand around to show off her shiny new accessory.

But instead of being impressed by her stunning diamond engagement ring, people commenting on the video were more concerned about her nails.

“This just pissed me off,” wrote one.

“I ran to the comments about the nails,” added another.

“Def made him, my mom, my friends, make sure my nails were done,” said a third.

“Ohhhh girl, why didn’t any of your friends take you to the salon?” someone questioned.

“I loved the ring!”

“The way I would wait a day to do this when my nails are done haha,” admitted another.

“I’m so grateful my fiancé paid for my nails the day before he proposed,” another person commented.

I’m being stalked for my engagement ring – cruel trolls say they’d be ’embarrassed’ by the size, it’s okay I just have sausage fingers

“Okay, everyone is hating the nails, but I’m impressed with the growth, they’re all there!” another wrote.

“Congratulations girl, it’s beautiful!”

To which the woman replied: “Thank you! I appreciate that haha.

“I actually didn’t think it would be a big deal for me not to get my nails done.”

In another video, the woman insisted that her future husband had paid for her to get her nails done the day before he popped the question.

But by the time she participated in the TikTok ring trend, her nails had already grown a bit.

Top Wedding Trends of 2024

Sophie Creed, bridal designer and founder of bridal brand e&w Couture, shared this year’s wedding trends.

Guys, guys, guys

Brides are leaning toward modern minimalism with lots of personal touches that showcase their relationship as a couple in an overall wedding theme.

Sustainability is also a big trend for weddings, with brides opting for locally sourced and seasonal flowers and foods.

Sailing at sunset

There is a rise in bold sunset colors like pinks, corals, reds, and yellows when it comes to color schemes. Big bold bouquets and hued bridesmaids are coming into focus.

Fun and fancy stretchy shoes

A fun shoe is always at the top of brides’ lists this year, followed closely this year by a hair accessory that matches the dress, like a large bow or scrunchie.

The pockets are inside!

Modern, flattering silhouettes with bold fabric choices are the 2024 wedding dress trend.

Brides also love fuller skirts (with pockets), interesting back details and sophisticated plunging necklines.

Sleeves have been huge for us this season, but nothing too form-fitting, opting instead for romantic, flowing sleeves.

“Grow up,” she encouraged the trolls, “find something to do.”

“At the end of the day, I’m engaged and you probably aren’t!”

“Sorry, the internet is so bad!!!” one person commented on that video.

“They will find something to complain about! Your ring is beautiful!

“We all walk around with long nails from time to time haha!”

“I know, right! I know some people are mean, but I didn’t expect it to be most of them haha,” she replied.

“Girl, your ring is BEAUTIFUL,” insisted another.

“Ignore the hateful comments people have literally nothing better to do omg!”
