A BEAUTY fan has put a question on practically every beginner’s mind – how to get longer eyelashes.
An eyelash artist chimed in to give the 411 a more glamorous look.
Editor Nopaleontologist8449 asked the question on the social media platform.
“How to grow natural eyelashes after extensions?” she wrote.
Like many beauty fans, she found that the cosmetic treatment left her natural hair a little weaker than before.
“I started getting extensions for the first time a few months ago and I just stopped refilling them and found that my natural lashes were basically gone,” she said.
“Is this normal? Any tips for growing back?”
TO THE RESCUE
A professional lash artist gave advice on how to get your natural lashes back to their previous state.
“Hi, 11 year lash artist here, and I just wanted to say first that you can use a serum to grow your lashes, but you have to be careful which one you choose,” she said.
“Some of them have irreversible side effects, such as discoloration/color change of the skin and eyes.”

The professional offered her favorite product to grow eyelashes.
“The best one is called RevitaLash, if you buy it in California it will be called RevitaBrow,” she said.
RevitaLash Advanced is available at Revitalash Cosmetics for $59 for a six-week supply.
However, the professional said she wouldn’t go straight for the big guns.
“I personally would say let your natural lashes grow back without using serum,” she said.
HOW TO CHOOSE A LASH TECH
The lash artist also gave some recommendations for looking for a lash technician in the future.
She advised “looking for an artist who uses some type of magnification to do the eyelashes, preferably surgical magnifying glasses.”
The professional said that the surgical magnifying glass technique can help with eyelash loss.
“If you are lucky enough to find a technician who uses surgical loupes, it will significantly reduce damage because they can see every strand of hair like a surgeon would,” she said.
“Damage can also happen if multiple natural lashes are glued together, each natural lash is in its own growth cycle.
“So, let’s say three lashes are glued together and two of the lashes are ready to grow, that third lash will be pulled out prematurely in a slow and painful way. This is how 80% of damage happens.
“A client can contribute to this by not washing her eyelashes every day.
“Eyelashes can become stuck together with eye mucus, blepharitis and makeup – and just like glue – [those] can make you lose eyelashes prematurely.”
