Reddit user Savory offered several anti-aging tips for people in their 20s.

The 46-year-old shared a publish the beauty products you should start integrating into your routine ASAP.

She said people around the age of 27 are “very lucky” because they can start early with the “best anti-aging cream” of all – sunscreen.

“Use not only on your face, but also on your neck and chest,” she recommended.

“Chest and neck. That’s true,” another Redditor agreed.

Savorie knows firsthand what happens when you don’t prioritize applying SPF all over your skin.

“I have a wrinkle-free face, but my chest is a sun-damaged nightmare thanks to my habit of wearing V-necks during my 20s when I lived in Florida,” she admitted.

She added that no one warned her about putting sun protection on her chest and neck, even when not at the beach.

“For extra points, wear it on the top of your hands regularly, and your hands will be the envy of all your girlfriends when you’re 70,” she said.

“Hands too! I’m 31 years old and I would really like to apply sunscreen there and on my face!” another Reddit user advised.

If you’re in your late 20s, the Redditor said you probably have “very few visible signs of aging.”

“You probably don’t need a big regimen. You can just do basic things to maintain the great skin and structure you have now,” she said.

But if you have any specific skin concerns, like redness, acne, or dark circles, she said it’s okay to address them because “managing them” will boost your anti-aging strategy.

Savorie dubbed “prevention” and “knowledge” as your best weapon against the signs of aging so you won’t regret it in the future.

She said it was vital to find out which parts of your skin show your age first.

It could be the neck, chest, hands or elbows, but “it rarely starts on the face.”

“Take good care of these areas with daily sunscreen, daily moisturizers or lotions,” he added.

For facial care, she suggested opting for light gels, serums, and lotions over heavy creams and oils unless you have severe dryness or peeling.

Plus, she said there were two things to “figure out” at the start of your skincare routine.

First, there are the areas with the thinnest skin on the face, such as the eye sockets and lips.

Also, be aware of whether your skin is sensitive or not, because those who have it have special needs regarding the ingredients it can tolerate.

Above all, she said to pay attention to your face over the years and look for the first places that start to show a little sagging, and “give them a little extra love.”

But she cautioned against getting obsessive about it.

“You don’t want skin care or image issues to take over your life!” she added.

For more targeted advice, Savorie said there was “nothing wrong” with seeing a dermatologist for “personalized advice” or help crafting a basic regimen for your skin texture.

Anti-aging tips and ‘superstar’ products

Dr. Anatália Moore is a general practitioner and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.

She told The US Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin’s journey.

She said the basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages – it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer and SPF.

“Moisturizers are my go-to, even when it comes to products that contain active ingredients,” she said.

“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them literally stabilizes the skin.

“This alone can quickly soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as these are often worsened by dehydration.

“It also allows the skin to function as it should.

“It can then heal more quickly, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, fewer flare-ups of dermatitis and rosacea, and milder, shorter-lasting breakouts.”
