The loose powder has earned an average of 4.3 stars out of five from over 10,000 reviewers.

Etude Zero Sebum Drying Powder is available for $9.99 on Amazon.

Manufacturers recommend applying the product after completing your skin care or makeup routine.

The instructions suggest using the powder as needed on oily parts of the face.

Amazon buyers shared their thoughts about the product in the review section.

“This product is a godsend. I have super oily skin and large pores and this powder has kept me oil-free ALL DAY,” wrote one impressed shopper.

“My forehead is ALWAYS oily and I usually have to blot all day,” said one reviewer.

“I put this stuff on and only have to reapply it ONCE. I work at a restaurant where I eat greasy food all night!

“This gunpowder is awesome! There’s nothing like it!”

Etude credits the sugar polymer with absorbing excess oil that builds up on the skin.

What is sebum?

Sebum is a waxy substance produced by the body’s sebaceous glands that coats, moisturizes and protects the skin.

It is a complex mixture of fatty acids, sugars, waxes and other natural chemicals that form a protective barrier against water evaporation.

Skin oil is a mixture of sebum, sweat, dead skin cells and small dust particles from the air.

According to manufacturers, sugar can absorb 50% of your body weight.

In addition to helping with oily skin, the product is advertised as ideal for oily hair.

Etude recommends spraying the product onto your roots and shaking out the residue to create a fresh finish.

Manufacturers also highlighted a third use of loose powder in setting eyeshadow.

They suggested applying powder to your eyelids before eyeshadow to avoid smudging.
