A LONGEVITY expert has revealed her essentials for defying the signs of aging without using Botox.
Among her tips is adding a teaspoon of a little-known molecule to face masks to boost collagen and elastin.
Leslie Kenny, who splits her time between California and Oxford, founded the supplement brand Oxford health period.
She also runs a nonprofit organization specializing in making longevity research accessible to everyone.
Speaking to The US Sun, she revealed the tricks she uses to stay young.
PERFECT FOODS
Kenny said focusing on her nutrition means she can have a minimal skincare routine.

She frequently eats “collagen-rich foods” like bone broth and takes supplements like Davinia Taylor’s Will Powder, which is made from grass-fed Swedish cattle.
She also takes four tablespoons of collagen daily.
The dosage of collagen to take varies for each person, depending on age and needs.
“While I’m sure you’ve heard of collagen, you might not know about spermidine,” she said.

“It is a potent longevity molecule that we all produce naturally when we are young, but which decreases with age.
“Its main mechanisms are to combat the root causes of aging – including stem cell dysfunction, inflammation and intestinal dysbiosis – and trigger cell renewal.”
Kenny revealed she is a “huge fan” of beauty brand Living Libations, founded by philosopher and Renegade Beauty author Nadine Artemis.
“What I like to do is combine the Sea Buckthorn face mask with a level half teaspoon of Primeadine spermidine powder,” she said.
“Healthy bacteria on the skin upregulate spermidine and, in turn, upregulate collagen and elastin.”
Kenny said applying SPF daily is important, but skin can also be protected from the inside out by eating foods rich in astaxanthin, like wild salmon.
A healthy diet, daily movement, social interactions, a sense of purpose and stress management are the foundation. If these are not in place, other measures will be less effective.

“Sun protection is the No. 1 anti-aging tool for skin and targeting it inward means that even if you miss a spot with your SPF, you’re covered,” she said.
DIY TREATMENTS
Kenny said facial taping is a “fantastic” alternative to Botox.
She uses Japanese facial tape from The Natural Faces, which is made of “soft” material.
“It involves using special tape to prevent facial movements during sleep and thus prevent the formation of new wrinkles,” she said.
She also maintains ageless skin using an electrostimulation device called the NuSkin ageLOC boost system.
“With just a few minutes a day, you exercise the muscles that give your face structure,” she said.
“Think of your skin as the clothes and your muscles and bones as the hanger on which the clothes hang.
“If the hanger starts to rust and break, so will your skin, resulting in sagging and sagging.”

BEAUTY BASICS
Kenny said a healthy diet, daily movement and stress management are the “foundation” for slowing the signs of aging.
She stated that the popular supplement resveratrol is not necessary to get visible results.
“To achieve a minimum effective dose with this molecule you need at least 1g per day and it is outrageously expensive to achieve that,” she said.
“There are better products you can use to get the same benefits, also known as spermidine.
“And don’t believe the myth that there’s a lot of resveratrol in red wine and so you’re allowed to drink a bottle every week.
“The amount contained in it is minuscule.
“If you want to drink, do it to feel happy and sociable with your friends.”
