She took to Reddit’s Skincare Addiction forum in response to a user asking for “Holy Grail” serums for glass skin.

Originating in Korea, glass skin refers to a hydrated, poreless appearance achieved when skin is at its healthiest.

PERFECT FACE

The Redditor spoke candidly about spending “thousands of dollars” trying out different products.

“It’s all stored in my makeup cabinet while I use the cheap glycerin oil,” she said writing underneath the handle. Ok-Internal-5751.

“That was the only thing that worked like magic.”

She revealed that the oil can irritate the skin when applied directly to the face.

“My face felt hot after applying undiluted glycerin,” she said.

“Now I put a few doses of my foundation, in a spray bottle with rose water and aloe vera, and also an eye cream that was almost ready.

“I spray my face with the glycerin-pink-aloe combo after my skin is soaked in any serum before applying moisturizer and then an occlusive.”

She said spritzing the oil on her face throughout the day helps keep her makeup looking fresh.

“My face glows and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in dehydration and fine lines,” she said.

My $5 impulse buy at Trader Joe’s left my skin smooth as glass — now it’s a must-have, go get it

“Like, they’re gone. That’s the magical part of it.

“Plus, it’s sticky enough so makeup doesn’t slide off.”

BEAUTY SHOPPING

Many people upvoted the Redditor’s product recommendation and were grateful for the advice on how best to use the oil.

Rosewater and Glycerin Moisturizing Facial Mist is $11.49 at Amazon.com Ultra Beauty.

According to the manufacturer, it hydrates and leaves the skin radiant.

One customer said it gave their skin a “dewy look,” while another raved about using it as a “quick way” to freshen up.

Anti-aging tips and ‘superstar’ products

Dr. Anatália Moore is a general practitioner and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.

She told The US Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin’s journey.

She said the basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages – it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer and SPF.

“Moisturizers are my go-to, even when it comes to products that contain active ingredients,” she said.

“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right type of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them literally stabilizes the skin.

“This alone can quickly soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as these are often worsened by dehydration.

“It also allows the skin to function as it should.

“It can then heal more quickly, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, fewer flare-ups of dermatitis and rosacea, and milder, shorter-lasting breakouts.”

According to Health lineGlycerin is a clear compound naturally derived from animal fats or vegetable oils.

Research shows it can improve skin barrier function, alleviate dryness, and aid wound healing.

Since rose water has anti-inflammatory properties, many beauty brands use it to dilute glycerin.

Pure glycerin can cause dehydration and blistering of the skin.

Experts recommend speaking to a dermatologist if you’re unsure about the best glycerin product for your skin type.
