Everyone is going crazy over my $14 brow purchase on Amazon – it gives me the exact shape I want and the color lasts up to 3 days

“Great color for my blonde, silver and white hair!” said someone else.

“[It] it blends my sparse eyebrow hairs well from the half arch to the tail and I love the brush that has its own cap on the opposite end of the crayon stick with its own cap.

“Great price, and I’ll use it for a while before commenting on how long it lasts and whether it’s smudge-proof. So far I’m very pleased!”

Another buyer praised the product for its affordable price.

“I deal with trichotillomania so I use eyebrow pencils daily and wear them out quickly so I really like them as they are only $3,” they wrote.

Is a $3 eyebrow pencil really any good?

Carly Stern, lifestyle editor at The US Sun, weighs in…

In my career covering all things lifestyle, I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with a lot of makeup.

And yes, the fancy stuff is cool. But the truth is… expensive doesn’t necessarily mean better.

So even though I have a lot of high-quality makeup, I sometimes try to buy it at drugstores.

The Elf Instant Lift Brow Pencil is one of them – in fact, this is my favorite eye pencil that I always buy. I usually buy a few from Amazon or Target at a time, so I know I’ll have a backup on hand once I’m done.

No sharpening required, the spool is secured and I can throw it in my bag and take it to work when I’m not super confident about how I filled them first thing in the morning.

Sure, I could spend $20 or more on a more luxurious brand, but no one has ever said to me, “Carly, your eyebrows look poor. What did you use, a $3 pencil?” so I think I’ll stick with my budget choice.

“I don’t feel guilty repurchasing one every few months.”

“I see why this line stands out as a competitor to more expensive luxury lines. You don’t have to be rich or take out a loan to look nice and well-groomed,” another person pointed out.

“For just $3, this pencil works well and is worth it,” commented one shopper.

I like how easy it is to use – you don’t have to press hard for the product to define your brows.

“It fits well and the color is good. I’m naturally blonde, so I could wear blonde, ash or even light brown. Not too dark and very natural.”
