A WOMAN who suffered sun damage has revealed how it lightened dark spots on her skin.
An affordable $10 skin care purchase helps her treat darkened arms and chest.
Editor Alicemaravilhas12 shared the beauty tip in a viral post.
She explained that once your skin becomes damaged by the sun, it’s impossible to undo.
However, people can reduce the appearance of discoloration with a little effort.
“The damage is already there, unfortunately. But you can lighten your skin,” she said.
Alice explained that she does everything she can to avoid the sun as much as possible.
“This is what I do…in the summer, I’m very, very, very careful about sun exposure and I’m good at covering up or using SPF,” she said.
To prevent buildup and keep her skin as soft as possible, she also incorporates an inexpensive $13 product into her summer skin care routine.
“I moisturize and exfoliate the skin on my arms and chest frequently,” she said.

“When it’s not sunny season or if I know I’m not going to be exposed to the sun, I use lactic acid from The Ordinary (the big bottle), put it on a round cotton pad and put it on the damaged areas of my skin (chest and arms) , then hydrate a lot”, she said about the product.
While the routine is effective in brightening your skin, she warned viewers about a downside.
“The problem is [that] using lactic acid and all [these] Whitening products are great, but they make the skin more sensitive to the sun”, he explains.
The practice, she said, could end up harming the skin even more if users are not careful.
“[It may cause damage] even worse than the damage you may have caused before,” she said.
The key, she explained, is to avoid using the product when you know it will put your skin at risk.

“This is very important to note,” agreed another.

“I don’t think you’re paranoid, just cautious,” said another.
