It’s one of the hair trends that some people hoped would stay strong in the past.

But Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell isn’t one of them – as she proved when she revisited the “old school” look in a video on her TikTok page.

She revealed that she bought the headband, with several clips for different strands of hair, on Amazon to test.

“I’m really excited because this thing just arrived,” she it started.

“I actually loved it, I tried it before very quickly and I loved it, so I’m going to do it again properly!”

She then demonstrated how to wear the headband, starting by sectioning the front sections of hair on each side.

Dianne then placed the headband on her head and began pulling sections from the front of her hair, twisting it tightly.

Once twisted, she placed it on the headband clip to secure it in place.

“Oh my god, it’s so cute!” she said when she was halfway through the process.

Dianne then did the same on the other side and said, “How cute is that?”

“I used to comb my hair like this when I went to school.

“It’s pretty old school, but it’s cool and old school.

“I like it. It comes in two colors too. This kind of reddish color and a dark color.”

“Let’s try! What do we think?” Dianne captioned her video.

But people in the comments section were divided by the Strictly star’s look, with many admitting they remembered the trend from the first time around.

“Crying like a 90s kid haha,” wrote one.

“I wore this all the time as a kid,” said another.

“I can’t believe all these 90s trends are coming back!”

“Oh man, I’m officially old,” another sighed.

“I spent so much time doing this hairstyle in the 90s,” commented a third.

“I could have used a hairband like that!”

“Are they back? I’ve had one for years and haven’t used it in a long time,” another person wrote.

“It brought me back to the time when I used to tie my hair back with butterfly clips, I might have to try that!” another commented.

“I’m going to a 90s brunch in July… I definitely need to cater that,” said someone else.

“It’s on Bewitched and I’m here for it! I needed that band in the 90s, I think that’s where my muscles came from,” said another.

But others were not convinced by the trend’s return.

“Sorry, Dianne, but I hate it!” one wrote.

“What happened to the butterfly clips from my 90s childhood?

“That seems like a lot of effort to me, haha!”

“Sorry, it’s horrible,” added another.

“Nah, you lost me. It seems very complicated,” commented a third.

“I honestly can’t tell if this is a joke??” someone reflected.

“Like, is she serious?

“I’m a millennial, but I think I’d rather have that bangs thing than this!”
