WE’RE all guilty of trying out new beauty trends when they go viral on social media, but one woman proved why you shouldn’t do it the day before work.
Sally Marie took to social media to show the hilarious fail she had after trying the viral heatless curls hack.
In the clip, Sally revealed that she started the hair tutorial at 10pm that night and worked on it at 8am the next day.
The risky hairstyle saw the beauty fan put her hair up in fabric rollers and then in a silk bonnet to keep it in place as she slept through the night.
The next morning, she thought she would wake up with bouncy curls without spending hours on her look — but it didn’t go as planned.
“Never start a vintage hair tutorial at 10 p.m. All my mistakes,” she said.
The next day, she woke up and started detangling her curls without heat, but was horrified by her new curls.
Instead of getting the shiny, bouncy waves she saw all over social media – her hair was left frizzy and in tight curls.
Sally decided to try and solve the problem by brushing her curls for a more relaxed look, but this only made the problem worse.
The next image showed her huge curly hair that wouldn’t look out of place in the 1600s.
She then attached a photo of Sir Cloudsley Shovell, a British naval officer with huge bouncy curls and the similarities were uncanny.
“Are you becoming Sir Cloudsley Shovell?!” she wrote.
“Maybe,” she added.
In the end, Sally revealed that she tied her hair up in a thick ponytail so she could go to work looking presentable.
The hilarious hair horror video went viral on her TikTok account @sally_marie_b with more than 240 thousand views and 18 thousand likes.
People were quick to accept the comments in hysterics at the mistake.
