Commenting on a Reddit publishan unidentified user revealed some of her DIY beauty techniques.
Among them was the inversion method, which she uses to promote hair growth.
“There are several different methods for the inversion method, some involve oils, others involve simple massage,” she explained.
However, all variations of the inversion method include the same essential step.
“The main part of this method is turning the head upside down,” she said.
The Redditor detailed the specific technique and timeline she uses.
“You can sit in a chair and put your head between your legs if you can,” she said.
She recommended massaging your scalp for about 2 to 5 minutes at a time.

“Most versions of the method tell you to do this every day for four to seven consecutive days, once a month,” she told her fellow Reddit users.
She acknowledged that the method may require daily dedication, but highlighted all the benefits.
“Well, I know this sounds tedious, but it’s completely free and leads to a much healthier scalp and hair,” she said.
The social media user mentioned that this can lead to increased hair growth.
“I’ve been doing this to help grow my bangs and it’s worked perfectly,” she said.

“There is ample evidence from hair samples of several conditions detrimental to scalp health to help establish a link between scalp health and hair growth and quality,” they wrote.

According to the Reddit user, there is an additional step you can take to promote a healthy scalp.
“It makes sense that applying oil to the scalp can help alleviate excessive oil production on the scalp due to continued removal,” they explained.
“I’ve found that hair and scalp are the equivalent of repairing your skin’s moisture barrier by letting excess oil build up on your scalp for a few days.
