A 40-YEAR-OLD skincare fan with hyperpigmentation has revealed the can’t-miss trick that eased her worries.
She shared the beauty trick they randomly tried that transformed her face and revitalized her skin.
Reddit user Thehraav found a simple solution to her skin problem.
She revealed in a publish on the platform she thought it was “severe hyperpigmentation,” but it turned out to be something completely different.
“Turns out it was just dead skin and peach fuzz,” she said.
She shared two photos of her face that were taken a few days apart.
“I haven’t changed anything other than reducing my sun exposure and being even more careful with sunscreen,” she explained.
The Reddit user said she completed her regular skincare routine as normal.
It consisted of Klairs 5% vitamin C, moisturizer, Cosrx SPF 50 sunscreen with aloe vera$16 in the morning and tretinoin 0.05% every other night.
In the before and after images, you can visibly see how your cheeks become brighter and brighter.

While this was essential to her routine, she claimed the secret to her glowing complexion was a simple body maintenance method.
“Who knew that just shaving your face could make such a difference?!” she said.
Dermaplaning is a low-risk facial procedure that exfoliates and removes facial hair.
The treatment also removes the top layers of dead skin cells.
Many people apply oil first, before gently shaving their skin.
“Amazing results! I’m always hesitant because I’ve seen people say dermaplaning does the opposite, but your skin looks great,” another Redditor commented.
They also asked how long it took to see results and how often she had the procedure.
She decided to offer some caution based on her overall experience.

“I was really scared, I must say, because many years ago I tried one of those razors made for the face and it gave me a horrible burn that ruined my skin,” she said.
Because she didn’t know how much pressure to exert while shaving, she admitted she got razor burn, severe inflammation, and “a lot of burning.”
After that, she was “extremely tired” of trying again, until recently.
“Honestly, I’m really new to this. This is only the second time in years that I’ve tried this, and that too on a whim. I used a very slippery moisturizer and noticed the peach fuzz,” she explained.
She admitted that she “reluctantly” moved a Gilette Mach 3 razor over a small spot on her face, and when she realized it wasn’t causing redness or razor burn, she continued.
She said she did it “very gently” and “with a gentle hand.”
The Reddit user then slowly advanced on her cheeks, temples and forehead.
The original poster also said that she added blackout curtains to her room, which she thinks made a difference.
