A beauty fan shared the secret behind her nude lip, but warned viewers it might not be as hygienic as she’d like.

She explained that her go-to lip gloss is DIY — well, sort of.
“I will always buy a clear lip gloss and slowly over time turn it into a ‘Frankengloss,’” she said.
She didn’t worry about keeping her lip gloss clear.
“I find that the little bits of pigment that the applicator picks up when I put it on top of my lipstick always accumulate into this beautiful ‘nude’ shade that I can never replicate when I’m shopping for lip gloss,” she said.
“After about a month of applying different lipsticks, I have a really pretty color that I can wear alone.
“Even though I know it’s disgusting, I’m attached to the process now.”

One of them explained that they tend to let their makeup brushes marinate in the product.
“Aside from some spot cleaning, for me, using makeup brushes is past needing to be ‘cleaned,’” they admitted.

Others revealed that their guilty pleasure in makeup is using products that are past their expiration date.
“I have and wear really old makeup. I only get rid of it if there’s an obvious quality issue (separation, dryness, etc.) And it’s literally fine,” said one commenter.
