BEAUTY fans are rushing to their local Aldi in search of a new mid-aisle bargain that they think is a knock-off £25 shimmer spray.

With summer just around the corner, taking your makeup off to stay in place is hard enough — so who doesn’t want a setting spray with added shine?

And if you’re not interested in forking out a small fortune for the pleasure, budget supermarket Aldi has you covered.

It has launched a £4.99 setting spray with added shine.

The Lacura Shimmer Setting Spray comes in two shades of bronze and champagne.

And as well as being cruelty-free, it also contains green tea and chamomile extract to be kind to your skin.

Beauty freak Emma Louise described the mist as “unreal”.

“This product is unreal,” the beauty genius shared.

“I use mine every day and it’s good for refreshing in this heat with an extra glow.”

Aldi’s social media team took to Instagram to show off the Specialbuy bargain.

“Don’t mind if we do this,” they wrote.

“Run to the middle hallway to get this little bottle of stardust.”

Lisa Boney dubbed it a “really good product” just 24 hours after taking it down.

“I bought mine yesterday,” Holly Power smiled.

Some shoppers even claimed the sparkling bottle was a copy of ICONIC London’s £25 Prep-Set-Glow Hydrating Mist.

It’s £20 cheaper than the deluxe version.

Best Beauty Dupes

Fabulous beauty editor Tara Ledden revealed the cheapest version of her favorite beauty products you should have in your closet.

“A whopping 55% of us would like to spend less on our beauty routines, according to new research from Elf Cosmetics, so it’s no wonder there are millions of #dupe videos on Tiktok.

“While some dupes are easy to spot due to their packaging appearance, they are often lacking when it comes to content.

“In fact, some of the best idiots look nothing like the luxury product they are held up for – and, believe me, they are the ones you want.”

REAL: Hoola Matte Bronzer Benefit£32.50 TO DECEIVE: Natural Collection Bronzer£3.50, which is a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer comes in more shades, although there is no mirror on the compact.

REAL: Hydro-Grip Primer for Milk Makeup, £35 TO DECEIVE: Elf Power Grip Primer£10. These two share a similar green hue, as well as the same mattifying and long-wearing properties – although Elf’s is so popular it’s equally hard to find.

REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick£28 TO DECEIVE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige Nude, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are practically identical on the lips, although while Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, the L’Oreal Paris lipstick has a satin finish – which actually makes it more comfortable if you wear it all day.

REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation£40 TO DECEIVE: Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation Collection, £6.99. While they don’t look the same on the outside, the formula, consistency, and staying power of both foundations are quite similar — unfortunately, the collection only comes in 20 shades versus Estée Lauder’s 60 options.

REAL: Brighter boy eyebrows£20 TO DECEIVE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to this idiot, so you know it must be good. Both have a waxy consistency and added fibers to make your brows look fuller. I have to say the shade range is much better with Boy Brow, but if you’re a brunette there are plenty of Essence shade options to try.

“Add this Lacura Shimmer Setting Spray to your routine to bring a summer glow to your skin,” said Aldi bosses.

“It helps set your makeup for the day and at the same time adds a shiny finish for a summer look, even on dull days.

“Choose between two shades or treat yourself to both for a varied choice every day.”

Aldi sparkle spray can be used in exactly the same way as ICONIC London mist.

That is, to prepare your skin before applying makeup, to lock in your glamor or simply to give you a radiant glow when your face is dull.

Both sprays contain chamomile and green tea extracts to help condition skin and prevent dullness.
