STRAWBERRY skin need not be a concern now that a woman has ditched her carefully selected shaving routine.

She said just three steps in her skin care regimen prevent those unsightly red bumps.

Editor Raydeez posted her tips for smoother legs on the social media platform.

“First of all, if you know, you know,” she said.

“Strawberry legs refer to those small dark spots/hair follicles spread all over your legs.

“They can become easily irritated and even inflamed after shaving and/or waxing, causing them to become red and more visible.”

HOW IS IT DONE

The Redditor said his routine came from long-term trial and error.

“Over the last few years, I’ve discovered how much more visible mine are and they’ve become such a pressing issue for me that I’ve started just wearing leggings and jeans,” she said.

“I knew I couldn’t live my life like this all summer, so I did some research. I mean, a lot of research. And I’m going to share with you a routine that gave me visible results after just a few weeks.”

She noted that her routine may not work for everyone, but it starts with exfoliation.

“Exfoliate and then exfoliate some more,” she said.

“You should exfoliate your legs every time you shower if you want to improve the appearance of your strawberry legs. This is also key to creating a fresh base to apply your products.

I haven’t shaved my legs for a year – it makes me a better mother

‘These little strawberry dots are often full of dirt, oil, sebum and dead skin cells. Exfoliation alone will allow you to get a much smoother, closer shave and will help prevent razor burn.

She said she uses the OGX Coconut Coffee scrub along with a loofah.

“I rub very hard and just in a back and forth direction, going back and forth against the texture of the hair. Using circular motions can confuse the hair follicle and make it more irritated, I’ve found,” she added.

Then she creates a luxurious shaving routine.

I’ve been doing this routine for two weeks and have honestly seen dramatic results.

“Always, always use a good, new razor,” she said. “I use a five-blade Venus razor.

“I keep mine outside the shower and I’m sure to dry it and rub alcohol on it to keep it clean and sharp.

“When I shave, I use a thin layer of cheap hair conditioner and shave normally, against the grain.

“I think [that] helps avoid shaving (while continuing to exfoliate) when possible. Although I still tend to shave whenever I shower because I’m a hairy beast.”

She also said she prefers an aftershave product called Skin carewhich costs $26.99 on Amazon.

“I apply it all over my leg with a cotton pad and then let it air dry,” she said.

She uses a secondary product to ensure smooth legs.

“After applying Tend Skin, I apply Holy Grail product number two,” she said.

Your second favorite product is Cerave SA Body Lotion for Rough, Bumpy Skinsold at Target for $17.99.

“I’ve been doing this routine for two weeks now and I’ve honestly seen dramatic results,” she explained.
