A SKINCARE fan has revealed how they use a common medical supply to combat fine lines and wrinkles.
They used to spend a lot of money on Botox to get a smooth forehead, but discovered that a $5 DIY anti-aging solution works even better.
Reddit user Dr_Clamstradamus is no stranger to skin care issues and has tried different measures to reduce signs of aging.
They admitted in a publish that they “got fed up” with paying a lot of money for Botox.
They decided to try a trick to target their fine lines and were shocked by the results.
“I thought I’d give it a try and I’ll never go back!” they said.
The secret to its success is medical grade tape.
They specifically use 3M Transpore 1 Inch Wide Clear First Aid Tape$4.96 on Amazon.
“I use a piece to cut and use between my eyes and it’s better than Botox. Prevents wrinkles while I sleep,” commented one shopper.
The Reddit user said he started applying it to his forehead at night before bed and kept it on overnight.

“It is important to cover most of the forehead with the tape,” they explained.
They added that it is effective because it “immobilizes all the muscles that work together.”
There is an easy-to-follow three-step process for maximum effectiveness.
First, they said they apply “lots of good moisturizer” and then wait 20 minutes for it to sink into the skin.
Soon after, they “record”.
“I make a V shape between the eyebrows and then two long horizontal strips”, they explained.
They said the “difference is incredible” for skin type.

But it’s not a “one-night fix,” and they said they did it consistently for two months before seeing results.
“It takes time and consistency” to work.
Before trying to hack the tape, they used the brand gathereda non-invasive facial patch that smoothes wrinkles.
But in their opinion, the tape works better and is a much cheaper purchase than the anti-wrinkle sticker, which costs $25.
Another change they made to their nighttime routine was wearing an eye mask when sleeping.
“I think it helps too,” they said.
The original poster responded that they had leftover Nexcare surgical tape at their house and planned to try it that night.
The results should speak for themselves.
