IF unsmooth skin isn’t an option this summer, a few easy tips can help.
One Redditor is raving about her easy tricks for saying goodbye to bikini area bumps.
Editor Three-Finger Digitizer went through some trial and error before finding his ultimate smooth shaving technique.
She explained how she started using an affordable purchase during the pandemic — Magic Shave Powder.
Made with aloe vera and vitamin E, she loved her discovery but was having trouble mixing it until she found the perfect solution.
“I’ve been shaving my bikini line occasionally to keep things tidy, but the razor bumps have come back with a vengeance,” she said.
“The hair itself was so sticky when it came back and I was spoiled,” she continued.
But she hasn’t given up on shopping yet — instead, she’s simply started using a blender.
“It mixed the powder almost instantly. It saves a lot of time, why didn’t I think of this before?
She expanded her magical method which included mixing two spoons of powder with one spoon of water.

“Use the blender, but don’t ‘shake’ – it’s more of a ‘spin’. Roll it out — it was kind of like a ball of dough — and add half a spoonful of water,” she said.
“Swirl the bottle for another 20 seconds – apply straight from the bottle,” she continued.
“The secret is to have the consistency of shaving cream, which is very thin and doesn’t remove hair.”
And she had one more tip for getting an increasingly easier shave.
“I find the equal parts suggestion in the container to be too watery and runs down my leg, unlike the consistency of shaving cream that stays in place,” she said.
She simply keeps the mixture until it dries, a process that takes about eight minutes.
“Once it dries—think of it like a dry clay facial mask—I hop in the shower, get back into the water, and use a damp washcloth to wipe off the cream in a small circular motion,” she said.
If you want to try shopping for yourself, Amazon sells SoftSheen-Carson Bladeless Magic Shaving Powder for $7.30.
The powder is formulated specifically for black men’s shaving needs and claims to prevent razor bumps and be suitable for all beard types.
The find, which has a light fragrance, is available in different concentration levels.
Taking no chances with her skin, she had one more smoothing trick to share.
“After a shower, I apply a thick lotion like Vanicream in the tub or Palmer’s cocoa butter formula,” she said.
“I’ve never had bumps or ingrown hairs, but my favorite part is when the hair starts to grow back into place, not the spiky, sticky stubble I get after shaving.”
Another Redditor also agreed with his method.
“I know it’s late, but don’t use the cream – it didn’t work for me either, buy the powder! And mix it yourself! It works perfectly!”
