Whether they were notoriously thin in the ’90s or undergoing a natural renaissance in recent years, eyebrows have always played an important role in the beauty industry.
A makeup artist shared the common mistakes you should avoid when filling in and shaping your eyebrows.
Maribeth Madron spoke exclusively with The US Sun about the best ways to care for your eyebrows.
The beauty expert explained that there is no cure-all makeup product for filling in eyebrows.
“If you need to fill in your brows, choose the best formula for your needs,” said Madron.
“If you have holes or asymmetry in the structure, start with a sharp, wax-based eyebrow pencil that matches your eyebrow hairs.”
She recommended using “short, light strokes in the direction of hair growth to fill in holes.”
For a sleek finish, she suggested blending with a spoolie.
Madron also detailed the best technique for keeping your eyebrows in place.
“To hold, then apply a clear brow gel in an upward and outward motion,” she said.

She advised anyone with gray or fine, light hair to “try a tinted brow gel to add color and volume.”
“Apply the gel to both sides of the brow using a back and forth motion for extra volume and gray coverage,” Madron explained.
She also revealed the most common mistake women make when filling in their eyebrows.
According to the expert, a common crime is using too much eyebrow product.
Using the wrong color and filling in outside the edges of the eyebrow are other mistakes that are often made.
Madron detailed the importance of perfecting your eyebrow beauty routine.
“Eyebrows are the most transformative and important feature of the face,” she explained.
