Everywhere you look, someone is trying to sell you the next miracle hair product, and it often comes with a hefty price tag.

However, one woman claims her hair has “never been healthier” after swapping expensive products for a bargain 95p.

Taking it to her @dcxkit account, she said: “When you ditch the expensive shampoos and conditioners and go back to the cheap £1 ones.”

In the clip, she showed off her glossy black hair, which looked shiny and soft.

Luckily she didn’t save the shampoo and conditioner she used to get the results.

She told how she swears by Alberto Balsam, which you can get at Tesco for just 95p.

Does not contain silicone and comes in various scents, from Green Litter for Raspberry.

The product description says: “Alberto Balsam Juicy Green Apple Hair Shampoo is super fruity and will leave your hair looking fresh and healthy.

“It uses most of the same ingredients you find in more expensive brands, but at a great price, meaning you can look glamorous every day.

“The improved formulation contains strengthening provitamin B5 and is suitable for all hair types in your family.”

Her video racked up over 8,000 likes and many people were impressed.

One said: “Stop it now because I used Alberto balm in my hair the other month because I didn’t have any of my usual expensive ones and it left my hair soooo clean and soft!

I haven’t washed my hair in six months and I love the way it looks now – I only use items from the kitchen cupboard to nourish it

“My usual leaves my hair greasy!”

Another added: “I’ve always used the cheap Alberto Balsam shampoo and conditioner and my hair is so healthy, I used a more expensive one as a gift to myself and my hair is DRY.”

And a third wrote: “I found my people in these comments. Alberto was balm until he died.”

However, a hairdresser agreed with her opinion, saying: “As a hairdresser, I came to the comments section to cry.”

She recommended that the best ones for hair are “sulfate-free.”

We recently shared how a hairstylist revealed the common hair myths she hears all the time.

Rachel Valentine explained that hair growth shampoos won’t make your hair longer and split end treatments won’t stop you from getting split ends to begin with.

Posting on social media, the hair genius explained: “Five of the many hair myths I read daily!”

Fabulous Beauty Editor Tara Leddon Shared What Really Makes Hair Grow

AS a beauty editor, one of the questions I get asked most is whether hair growth supplements really work. But unfortunately, there is no simple answer.

Generally, they only work if you are deficient in a vitamin or mineral that they can replace. However, I know so many people who have had great success with Hair Gain Hair Grown capsules that they are definitely worth trying if you want to start your journey to long, healthy hair.

Whether you choose to take a supplement or not, growing long hair requires a lot of patience.

It’s not something you’ll notice overnight, but when you take good care of your hair and use the right products, it becomes healthier.

If you’re only going to add one product to your regimen, it’s a heat protectant that will make the biggest difference, rather than expensive shampoos and conditioners, as heat styling is the number one cause of hair damage.

If you protect and nourish your hair, it’s less likely to break when it reaches a certain length, so you’ll be able to grow it longer than you ever imagined.

She said: “Firstly – shampoos for hair growth.

“There is no shampoo that directly makes your hair grow.

“What they do, however, is create a good environment for hair growth.

“Perhaps they strengthen the new hair that is emerging or keep it loose, making it easier to add volume when combing it.

“Number two – treatments for split ends.

“They don’t work. They don’t eliminate your split ends.

“What they do is seal split ends for a short period of time, making your hair look healthier, but the only way to get rid of split ends is to cut your hair.”
