IF you deal with strawberry legs, it’s time to fight back and get summer-ready results.

A few simple steps and a cheap supermarket pick-up will help keep your skin smoother than ever, according to a shaving genius.

RUB GENTLY

Editor Antichocci Milk shared their method for getting a better shave.

“I tend to K.P. [keratosis pilaris] and hyperpigmentation, this routine helped me a lot!”, they said.

To help reduce the patchy redness associated with these conditions, they incorporate their triple technique before shaving even begins.

“I massage my legs with coconut oil two to three hours beforehand so they feel soft and supple,” they said.

“I do this because my legs are dry and shaving makes them peel ridiculously later,” they added.

If you want to give your leg shaving routine a leg up, you can buy Fresh Organic Coconut Oil which is on sale for $5.46 on Amazon.

They also use another affordable product – and it’s not even made for legs.

“I scrub my legs with St.Ives Oats Scrub instead of using it on my face!” they said.

“You could use either, but oatmeal is gentle on the skin and I personally like this one.”

Lastly, they make sure to wash everything with warm water.

MORE SHAVING TIPS

They also gave some other tips to make the shaving process go more smoothly — literally.

“I suggest using shaving foam to soften your hair so you don’t have to touch your legs over and over again, but you can also use conditioner,” they said.

They also recommend making sure your blades are as sharp as possible to avoid rashes and cuts.

And this time you’ll want to wash with cold water.

Once you’re done shaving, they want you to dry everything off with a clean towel.

“This is important because you probably just created mini cuts in your skin and your hair follicles should be clean of bacteria and dirt,” they said.

BLOCK HIM

To keep your skin hydrated, you can use a thick moisturizer or aloe vera.

You can then seal in the moisture with another handy item – petroleum jelly.

There is also work to be done on the first look of a new strand of hair.

“You will have to physically exfoliate it so it doesn’t grow into the skin, basically causing KP. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate,” they said.

“I use Nykaa’s GUBB gloves. They are the best”, they continued.

Some of her other favorite products include The Ordinary Peeling Solution and AHA Botanical Body Soap.

“AHAs, or glycolic acid, are fantastic for KP. It will take a few months, but it will get better.”

Another Redditor was already eager to try these tips for getting rid of strawberry legs.

“Yes, I will include glycolic acid in my routine now. Thank you,” they said.
