While it’s easy to smell good, it’s harder to do so without damaging people’s noses.
“I think this is the only legitimate way to always smell good without it being overpowering,” she said.

The trick, she explained, is to buy scents from the same family.
“As much as you can, buy ALL your products with one scent,” she said.
“I make vanilla myself, so when I’m choosing anything, hair products, lip balm, lotion, shaving cream, etc., if there’s a vanilla-scented equivalent or option, I choose it,” she explained.
If no scent aligns with existing products, she recommended opting for scent-free purchases.

“It makes you smell consistently like one thing, but in multiple layers, almost like it’s your natural perfume,” she said.
The most important thing, she added, is not to overdo any fragrance.
“As long as you use real perfume/spray WITH FARM, you won’t suffocate people to death,” she said.
Others agreed that layering scents is the biggest key to smelling good.
Not only that, but layering multiple products helps extend the longevity of the overall scent.
“Well, of course, start from scratch,” said another.
“But what helps perfume have staying power is applying it in layers.
“So, you can find a nice set with body wash, lotion, and a bottle of perfume… some even have powder in them; using these items carefully (so you don’t get a strong scent) is [the] key to staying power.
A perfume enthusiast has shared a trick that helps them extend the life of their daily perfume without much effort.
“[Apply] unscented lotion on the wrist/neck and a spray of perfume on top to set it in place!”, they said.
Another added that perfume formulation is important when it comes to staying power.
“Rolled scented oils rather than perfume sprays last much longer for me,” they said.
