Chappell’s jaw dropped when he appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in a feather-embellished outfit – complete with six-inch claws.
AMAZING ARTIST
Her nail artist, Juan Alvear, took inspiration from 2003’s Swan Lake Barbie for an eye-catching look.
“When you look at them up close, each nail mimics the feather of a plucked feather,” Alvear said. Vogue.
“I achieved this look by using Essie’s Artic Jelly and Buttercup Jelly in a gradient from opaque to translucent, then adding streak details.
“I also applied long tufts of ostrich feathers to get the full effect.
“I wanted them to have movement and stage presence while Chappell performed.”
Alvear shared a close-up photo of Chappelle’s nails Instagramwhere almost 61 thousand people liked the snap.
One fan described the nail art as a “cool way to elevate” the 26-year-old’s entire look, while another said the manicure was the energy of the “main character.”
