“I’m a makeup artist – so it’s a harsh truth, but here goes,” said the Reddit user Khyati_123.

“Liquid foundations don’t work on mature skin,” she continued.

She had several reasons why she wasn’t a fan of a liquid look.

“They will look lumpy and uneven, no matter how hard you try to work with it, they won’t stay on for long,” she said.

She then suggested her favorite finds for better results.

“I recommend using cream/stick foundations,” she said.

“They have a different formula, obviously, and they tend to look better on the skin,” she added.

“Less is more – apply foundation, blend and set with a translucent powder or banana. Even a compact works,” she said.
