Dr. Neera from the US took to social media to share her best hair care hacks.

And if anyone knows how to make hair grow, it’s her.

The skincare pro previously revealed that she herself suffered from bald spots and has tried a multitude of ways to make her hair grow better than ever.

In a recent clip, she revealed that you should always start with an anti-dandruff shampoo.

She said: “If you use anti-dandruff shampoo you will reduce hair loss.”

You can buy Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo for just £2.49 at Tesco.

O next the must-have item on her list was pumpkin seeds oilwhich can help reduce hormonal hair loss and a bottle can be purchased for £7.80 on Ocado.

The third step was to use Minoxidil, which accelerates and activates hair growth.

Haircare brand Regaine’s main ingredient is Minoxidil is on sale on Amazon for £20.82 instead of £29.99.

The final step was to use a scalp massager (or your hands to massage your scalp).

This step helps improve blood circulation in the hair roots to increase hair thickness.

The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @dermatological surgeon with more than 2 million views and 170 thousand likes.

People were quick to share their thoughts and thank Dr. Neera in the comments.

One person wrote: “So I followed your advice because I was having massive hair loss. On the second use of Nizoral… the hair stopped falling out. Using castor, Amla and rosemary to grow it back with scalp massage. Thank you.”

The 4 phases of the hair growth cycle

Hair experts at Philip Kingsley have shared the four stages of the hair growth cycle: Anagen, Catagen, Telogen and Exogen.

Anagen Phase: Also known as the ‘Growth Phase’ or ‘Active Phase’, this is when the hair root cells divide more quickly, forming more new hair.

During the anagen phase, hair grows about half an inch per month [about six inches a year]and faster in summer than in winter.

This phase of the hair growth cycle lasts an average of three to five years.

Catagen Phase: After the Anagen Phase, your hair cycle enters a short transition phase known as the Catagen Phase, which signals the end of active hair growth and cuts off individual strands from the blood supply and cells that produce new hair.

Approximately three percent of all hair is in this stage at any given time and it lasts for about 10 days.

Telogen Phase: The third stage of the natural hair growth cycle is the Telogen Phase, a resting period in which strands remain in the follicles but are not actively growing.

An estimated 10 to 15 percent of your hair is in the telogen phase at any given time.

The Telogen Phase lasts about three months or 100 days.

Exogenous Phase: The final phase of the Hair Growth Cycle, when individual hairs are released from the follicles and fall out.

Now the whole process starts again.

Another commented: “Let me get the pumpkin seed oil vitamin. I already use everything else.”

“I love Nizoral! It makes my hair grow much faster!!” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Love this! Great video!!”

“Thanks girl,” said a fifth.

Another person added: “Thanks doc!”
