Editor Notacvt shared the skin care tip in a post.

She explained that after suffering from bacne for years, she was relieved to have discovered a routine that worked.

“I suffered with bacne for over five years and found a routine that leaves my back clear,” she said.

After taking a shower, she rubbed her back with an African sponge.

“Let your back dry a bit before generously applying OXY 10% Benzoyl Cleansing Cream,” she said.

A bottle of OXY Advanced Care Maximum Strength Soothing Acne Clearing Cream it sells for $8.

After applying the cleanser to the affected areas, she lets the treatment sit on the skin.

“It’s important to let it rest; I generally scrub my entire body before rinsing, and when I rinse, I scrub again with the loofah,” she said.

“Out of the shower, dry completely and apply The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7%. I usually let it drain and then spread it.”

Common Glycolic Acid 7% it costs US$8.70 per 100 milliliters.

I’m not a beauty snob, but I like the ‘fancy’ skin care serum I bought at Dollar Tree – it’s comparable to a drugstore purchase

While the strength of the two products wasn’t to everyone’s taste, she explained that it worked for her.

“People have different opinions about these products, which I respect, but they are my Holy Grail,” she said.

“The skin on your back tends to be so thick and oily that you need to use strong products that penetrate it.

“I also had clogged pores, which glycolic acid eliminated.

“My acne was diagnosed as bacterial by a dermatologist, but it also came and went hormonally, which was just related to oil production.”

Others who have battled bacne supported her product recommendations.

“Great answer. I’ve been doing this for a few years and it works,” said one commenter.

“I also apply 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I have suffered from acne on my back, chest, and shoulders for years. My skin is smooth now.”

They urged those suffering from body acne to avoid fragrances and potential irritants.

“Stay away from scented soaps. I use an unscented soap. Hope this helps,” they added.

“My partner’s bacne responds very well to 7% glycolic acid,” said another.

“Another one for this recommendation!”
