By now, you probably know that Aldi’s beauty offering is a treasure trove.
From copycat Dior lip oils to a whole line of knockoffs of Charlotte Tilbury’s cult products, there are enough makeup products to create a complete makeup bag.
But perhaps the hardest to pin down are the budget supermarket Olaplex idiots.
Fortunately, you no longer have to yearn.
The Lacura hair line is back in the mid aisles this Thursday (July 25)…but you’ll probably need to be quick.
For blondes, there’s a new £3.99 Lacura Bonded Purple shampoo – which is a copy of Olaxplex’s £28 NO.4P Blonde Enhancer toning shampoo.
“Lacura Bonded Purple Shampoo is formulated with violet pigments to neutralize yellow and orange tones, while neutralizing brassiness for bolder, brighter locks,” explained the Aldi formulators,
“Made with ingredients designed to hydrate and soften hair, this multitasking shampoo also intensely hydrates hair from root to tip for a healthy, shiny finish.”
For damaged, color-treated hair, there’s the £3.99 Lacura Bonded Pre-Wash, which is a copy of Olaplex’s £28 NO.3 Hair Perfector.
“Take care of your luscious locks with the Lacura Bonded hair pre-wash treatment,” added the Aldi team.
“Designed for all hair types, this strengthening pre-wash helps repair, rejuvenate and hydrate damaged hair.”
If you need a new hair mask, you can purchase the Lacura Bonded Moisture Mask for £4.99.
This Hack for £28 Olaplex NO.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is said to be an intense repairing mask designed to strengthen and soften damaged hair.
However, it’s not just Olaplex dupes in the latest Lacura hair care line.
You can also grab a dupe for the celebrity-loved Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo.
This luxury buy can cost up to £34 for a jumbo size – but the Lacura Perfect Proof Dry Shampoo is just £3.49.
Best Beauty Dupes
Fabulous beauty editor Tara Ledden revealed the cheapest version of her favorite beauty products you should have in your closet.
“A whopping 55% of us would like to spend less on our beauty routines, according to new research from Elf Cosmetics, so it’s no wonder there are millions of #dupe videos on Tiktok.
“While some dupes are easy to spot due to their packaging appearance, they are often lacking when it comes to content.
“In fact, some of the best idiots look nothing like the luxury product they are held up for – and, believe me, they are the ones you want.”
REAL: Hoola Matte Bronzer Benefit£32.50 TO DECEIVE: Natural Collection Bronzer£3.50, which is a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer comes in more shades, although there is no mirror on the compact.
REAL: Hydro-Grip Primer for Milk Makeup, £35 TO DECEIVE: Elf Power Grip Primer£10. These two share a similar green hue, as well as the same mattifying and long-wearing properties – although Elf’s is so popular it’s equally hard to find.
REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick£28 TO DECEIVE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige Nude, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are practically identical on the lips, although while Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish – which actually makes it more comfortable if you wear it all day.
REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation£40 TO DECEIVE: Lasting Perfection matte foundation collection, £6.99. Although they are not similar on the outside, the formula, consistency and staying power of both foundations are quite similar – unfortunately, the collection only comes in 20 shades compared to Estée Lauder’s 60 options.
REAL: Brighter boy eyebrows£20 TO DECEIVE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to this idiot, so you know it must be good. Both have a waxy consistency and added fibers to make your brows look fuller. I have to say the shade range is much better with Boy Brow, but if you’re a brunette there are plenty of Essence shade options to try.

“Need to freshen up those greasy roots?” Aldi bosses asked.
“This Lacura Perfect Proof Dry Shampoo is a lightweight formulation that eliminates oily roots while adding body and texture to revitalize between washes.
“Quickly absorbed and residue-free, this everyday essential product mimics the effects of freshly washed hair with just a few sprays.”
The supermarket’s social media team took to Instagram to alert beauty fans about new hair care buys.
“This is the perfect time,” said one shopper in the comments.
“I just ran out of my Living Proof Dry Shampoo.”
“I love this brand, I can’t wait to try their hair products,” said another.
