Amanda (@amandapongallo) shared the tip of her hair in a viral TikTok video.

She explained that the “plop” technique helped her maintain her curls with minimal work.

Amanda advised viewers to start with “soaked” hair, fresh from the shower.

With her hair dripping wet, she loaded it up with her favorite styling products.

She explained that styling products were essential to achieving straight hair.

“Would it still work if you didn’t have styling products?” asked a spectator.

“Your hair would probably be super frizzy,” Amanda replied.

She placed a dry t-shirt on the edge of the bed.

Amanda turned all her hair upside down, gathering all the strands into a bun in her hands.

She slowly dipped her head into the t-shirt, gently tucking her hair into the fabric of the shirt, and immediately began twirling her hair around the end of the shirt.

“You’ll just go to sleep like this,” she said.

“Then you’ll have fabulous curls in the morning.”

“Thanks! I spent the last few minutes struggling and decided to ask TikTok,” said a third.

For those who had difficulty with the hack, Amanda shared a tip that made the technique easier.

“OMG thank you, I tried this so many times and failed haha,” lamented one commenter.

“I have a ton of hair, so I hope it still works.”

Amanda revealed a simple trick that made it easier for those with a lot of hair.

“You can just buy a bigger t-shirt!” she said.
