BEING pregnant can be tiring, but it can have some perks when it comes to gifts.
Megan Micklewright, who runs The Savvy Spender, shared eight things pregnant women can get for free to help them financially.
Speaking to Fabulous, the savings genius said: “’The best place to get access to free resources is to keep in touch with your midwife and ask questions.
“Also signed up to apps like Pregnant+, Emma’s Diary and Bounty – this will keep you informed of any pregnancy freebies and discounts.
“As a mom, I also share all the freebies I find on Instagram and TikTok.”
In it @thesavvyspenderofficial account, she wrote: “Things you can get for free when you’re pregnant.
“Did you know that?”
DENTAL CARE
The first thing on her list is free NHS dental care during pregnancy and a year after the baby is born.
The NHS website said: “You are entitled to free NHS dental treatment if, at the time you are accepted for treatment, you are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months.
“To prove your entitlement, you can use a valid MatB1 certificate, valid maternity exemption certificate, birth notification form, birth certificate or stillbirth certificate.”
PRESCRIPTIONS
Megan added that the next One thing you can get for free with your healthcare is prescriptions.
She shared: “This could include things like Gaviscon for any mums who suffer from heartburn.”
The NHS states: “To request free prescriptions from the NHS, ask a healthcare professional, for example a doctor, nurse, midwife or health Visitor. They will help you make a paper or digital application.”
SWIMMING SESSIONS
The next thing on Megan’s list was free access to an exercise pool.
She shared: “Some advice and leisure centers offer FREE swimming for pregnant women.
“Call your local center and see if they have free sessions or discounts.”

EMMA’S JOURNAL PACKS
Next, Megan praised the idea of getting a free Emma’s Diary gift pack when she was pregnant.
The TikToker commented: “Full of little freebies that can be picked up in places like Boots after registering for free online.”
THE Ema’s diary The website states: “Emma’s Diary’s FREE Mom and Baby Gift Packs are full of free stuff from BIG brands and samples, handpicked for you to try during your pregnancy.
“Some are also really useful to keep in your hospital bag!”
Contents may vary, but packages may include Pampers diapers, Weleda Skin Food and diaper changing cream, Milton sterilizing tablets, fairy beads, Pampers discount coupon, Pampers baby wipes, breast protectors, Fairy discount coupon and Fairy POD and softener.
PRENATAL CLASSES
Megan also advised that you ask your midwife about any local prenatal classes being held in the area.
The NHS says: “Antenatal classes can help you prepare for the birth of your baby and give you confidence and information.
“They are generally informative and entertaining and are free on the NHS.”

AMAZON ITEM
According to the Savvy Saver, you can get a free item on Amazon if you create a baby wish list there.
Megan claims you need to spend £20 to qualify for the free item, but it can include a free nappy bag, baby bottles, bath set or bath toy.
Amazon states: “If you create a baby wish list and spend at least £20 on eligible baby products you will receive a free welcome gift.
“Create an Amazon baby wish list and wait 5 days before claiming your free gift (if you don’t already have one).
“Start adding eligible items – baby products shipped and sold by Amazon.”
PARENT CLUBS ITEM
Megan advised that some parents’ clubs, such as the one run by Boots, may give away a free item when you sign up.
She wrote: “Get an Aveeno product when you sign up.”
Boots Parenting Club offers perks like “8 points per £1 on baby products. freebies across key stages of your baby’s development, expert parenting advice, Parenting Club offers through the Boots app.
THE website states: “Sign up to Boots Parenting Club to receive your selected Aveeno product.”

EXTRAS
In addition to the above, Megan said there are other free things you will receive if you are accepted after applying.
The first one she suggested was Healthy Home Voucherswhich is normally offered to those on Universal Credit.
The NHS website states: “If you are more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to help buying healthy food and milk.
“If you are eligible, you will receive a Healthy Start card with cash that you can use in some UK stores. We will add your benefit to this card every 4 weeks.
“You can use your card to buy pure, fresh, liquid cow’s milk, frozenand canned fruits and vegetables, fresh, dried and canned legumes, infant milk powder based on cow’s milk.
“You can also use your card to collect Healthy Start vitamins – they help you during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and vitamin drops for babies and toddlers – they are suitable from birth to age 4.”
Megan also recommended that the government Sure Start Maternity Bag where you can get a one-off payment of £500 if you qualify.
How to Get Free Pampers Diapers as a Parent
YOU can get free Pampers diapers by going to the website and requesting a special diaper coupon.
The coupon will then be sent to your address and you can go to the nearest store to collect the free diapers.
