THEY ARE the adorable, squishy toys loved by millions.

But Squishmallows can be expensive – with large ones costing shoppers around £50.

So it’s no wonder parents are setting their alarms this holiday weekend for a deal that will see them score a FREE whole Squishmallow.

News of the offer was shared on Extreme Couponing and Bargains Group in the UK on Facebook, with one person writing: “Starting tomorrow on The Entertainer.

“Free squishmallow with all purchases over £25. Selected minors only.”

The offer is available online and in store but excludes Tesco concessions.

What to Look for When Buying Toys Online

HERE are the British Toy and Hobby Association’s top tips for buying toys online:

  1. Buy early. Don’t leave our shopping to the last minute rush, which can leave you with fewer options on where to buy.
  2. Check out third-party sellers. Look for sellers you recognize and trust. Be careful with retailers you don’t know and do your research by checking reviews and where they are located.
  3. Opt for branded toys. Try choosing a branded toy, as you will be able to compare it with the manufacturer’s own website to see if it is legitimate.
  4. Be careful when opting for the cheapest price. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  5. Check if there are any age restrictions. Make sure you give children appropriate toys according to their age.
  6. Check reviews carefully. Some reviews are fake, so look closely at the reviews.
  7. Stay with the kids at first. When your child opens a toy for the first time, stay with it and check for defects, small removable parts, access to the filling, and loose or accessible batteries or magnets.

And customers can take advantage of the offer from now until Monday, May 6 at 11:59 p.m.

You can choose from selected 7.5 inch Squishmallows for free, and the offer is applicable to all transactions over £25 (excluding gift cards).

“I don’t even need to buy another teddy bear, I could buy other things and get one for free haha”, highlighted one person in the comments section of the Facebook post.

“This is an offer!” another raved.

“Errmm, I think we need to go,” wrote a third, tagging a friend.

“The smaller ones selected mostly look like the 90p ones being sold in Asda stores, in case anyone just wants the Squishmallows,” someone else pointed out.

I feel ashamed of my ‘childish’ hobby – it’s cost me £4.8k so far but it helps me bond with my husband

As another commented: “Over the end of May Bank Holiday weekend there are events planned including free face painting on Saturday.

“I believe this is the whole store!”

The Squishmallows offer is also available if you place a Click and Collect order, and you can choose your freebie when you collect your items.

However, if for any reason you need to return your items for a refund, you will also have to return the free Squishmallow.

Squishmallows were launched in 2017 and there are now thousands of designs.

Each colorful character has a unique name and biography – which makes them even more attractive to collectors, who often pay MUCH more than the retail price on sites like eBay or Vinted.
