MANY mums-to-be are eager to share the news with their loved ones and the internet is full of elaborate gender reveals.
A new mother has been criticized for her unconventional gender reveal, with her and her partner making the announcement via pizza.

Although there is no right way to share the exciting Newsthe internet hit back at the mother for her unconventional method.
Originally shared on Facebook, it showed the mom-to-be standing proudly over the cheese pizza with the word “girl” written in sliced olives.
While we’re sure guests loved grabbing a slice, the ad wasn’t helped by the choppy lettering and plain cardboard packaging.
To make matters even worse, the word wasn’t even placed in the center of the pizza and left a large blank area of cheese.
Although the mother-to-be was proud enough to take a photo in the busy restaurant, others weren’t as impressed.
Upon seeing the ad after it was shared by the restaurant, a former friend decided to post it on Reddit and vent about the pizza-themed party.
Completely impressed with the pizza, they shared it on the r/trashy subreddit and wrote: “High school acquaintance wins worst gender reveal award ever.”
Needless to say, the post went semi-viral, with many agreeing with the Redditor.
Most complained about the state of the pizza, with one user writing angrily: “That pizza looks horrible.”
Others also complained about the pizza’s design, with many questioning why the letters weren’t spaced out and why the pizza wasn’t sliced.
Another added: “I love how they clearly said, ‘Hey, we want a half-olive, half-cheese pizza. Can you tell us the sex of our baby in Olives? But it better still be half cheese’.”
To which a third responded: “They could have at least cut it into 8 pieces and put GIR and L on 4 of them. It could have looked a lot better.
A fourth also complained: “I made prettier pizzas while I slept.”
Some also questioned why the mom-to-be was so excited about the pizza announcement.

“Like, really? Is this the best you could do? And are you so proud that you took a photo and posted it?!?!? Girl,” commented a fifth.
Others, however, defended the mother-to-be, arguing that this may have been the only option for her.
One impressed Redditor commented: “I really don’t see how this is as pointless as some poor people having a special day.”
Another argued that she would like to do this with her spouse: “I would do it with my husband just to be funny, because I’m pregnant and I always want pizza. It would be a good laugh.
Some even suggested that the idea wasn’t bad, just the execution.
“Lol, more along the lines of r/cr**pydesign than trashy,” suggested one Redditor.
