She shared how things turned sour after the party.

In a postshe shared: “My best friend revealed the gender of her first baby yesterday.

“After we found out it was a boy, I hugged her and said, ‘I’m so excited for you, having a boy is so much fun! It will also be fun to be pregnant together!’

“She was surprised but very excited.”

They didn’t tell anyone initially, but the topic came up again in the middle of her friend’s gender reveal party.

She added that two other friends asked her when she planned to have IVF again, as they knew they had done it for their first child and were hoping to have more.

The Reddit user continued: “I said ‘we’ve actually already started because it’s such a process’ and my best friend was like ‘haha, has it started? Have you finished!

“The other girls looked confused and my friend said ‘she’s pregnant!’

“And they were all very excited and chatting about it, and a few other people heard it and congratulated me.

“Most of the time I just said ‘thank you, we’re both really excited.’

Trolls say me and my man’s gender reveal felt like ‘Jeremy Kyle’s green room’ – I thought it was cute, they can do one

“I’ve really tried to move on and not talk specifically about my pregnancy.”

The party ended and everyone went home, but the next day she received a message from the party host – who had thrown the party for her pregnant friend.

The woman explained: “The next day I received a message from the host saying it was rude of me to announce my pregnancy at the party.

“It was for them and she worked really hard on it, only for me to steal the spotlight.

After we found out it was a boy, I hugged her and said, ‘I’m so excited for you, having a boy is so much fun! It will also be fun to be pregnant together!’

“I apologized for her feeling that way, but I didn’t feel bad about telling her [best friend] and then she told other people, because it was her choice.

“She said I should have known this was going to get out and should have waited.”

The woman asked Reddit users if she was an idiot for revealing the News for your pregnant best friend at her party.

She added, “I also understand that announcing anything at other people’s events is considered stupid, but I figured since I wasn’t announcing it to everyone (and avoided telling people until she did), it was okay.

The most expensive genre in the world reveals

GENDER reveals are becoming bigger and more elaborate every day, with people constantly thinking of different ways to improve the ones in front of them.

And money is no object for many of these couples – some spend hundreds or thousands on the event.

Read on for some of the most expensive gender reveals in history.

Ste Hamilton

Wealthy property tycoon and YouTuber Ste Hamilton decided to gift his future wife, Isabella Rowles, a £300,000 Lamborghini, which would be pink or blue to reflect the baby’s gender.

Steven and Isabella, friends and family attended an extravagant event at the Belfry Hotel and Resort, near Birmingham, to discover they were having a boy.

“It was worth every second of hard work to see the happiness on everyone’s faces that day,” said Ste, after spending another £40,000 on the big reveal.

Logan Paulo

Wrestling star, YouTuber and fiancée Nina Agdal staged a public fight to reveal their gender.

A wrestler in pink shorts faced off against one in blue, with the one in pink emerging victorious – meaning they are having a girl.

Inga Stumbriene

The Lithuanian influencer rented planes to fly in the sky while she, her fiancé and their loved ones looked on.

Planes dropped a load of blue confetti – revealing the couple were having a boy – but people insisted it was the “most polluted” gender reveal ever.

anonymous couple

One of the most recent jaw-dropping gender reveals took place in May 2024, when a couple decided to PAINT a waterfall to reveal whether they were having a boy or a girl.

After the videos circulated on social media, the public demanded that the couple be punished, with some suggesting they should go to jail.

Others were concerned about water contamination, as the pair had used a powdered chemical known as “Lagoa Azul” on the Queima-Pe river, which feeds the waterfall.

“I’m not mad because my friend announced to these people that I’m pregnant, it’s just the kind of relationship we have with each other’s friends/family.

“I announced to my family that she was pregnant before I announced it publicly as well.

“I have since texted my friend to make sure she was ok with it.

“She assured me that she was very excited to find out and that it was her choice to tell people.”

Many people were divided in the comments when it came to deciding who was right.

One said she should have waited to share the news and wrote: “Your friend seems like a great friend and is genuinely happy, and yes, she chose to share it, possibly in the interests of being a good sport.

“Yet you deliberately and pointedly shared it with her first and told her about yourself on a day that should have been ‘hers.’

“She’s a good friend, so surely there are a million other days and times you could have chosen to share your news…did you HAVE to do that for her?!?”

Meanwhile, one of them said: “It’s a GENDER REVEAL PARTY lmao they are not even remotely on the same level.

“Not to mention it’s the host who’s throwing a fit, not the person the party was thrown for.”
