FROM a new stroller and crib to nursery decor, it’s no secret that having a baby isn’t cheap.
And let’s not forget the endless diapers and wipes, as well as the clothes that will probably grow your child in no time.
Therefore, when there is a chance to save some money on essential purchases, parents will take advantage of the opportunity.
That’s exactly what mum Ashleigh did after spotting loads of yellow sticker bargains at her local supermarket.
Posting a photo of your incredible discoveries on Extreme Coupons and Bargains in the UK Facebook group – which has 2.4 million members – she said: “Run, don’t walk to Asda.
“Lots left. Great bargains to get.”
Deciding not to be the gatekeeper, Ashleigh then revealed the exact branch she located the business in – Coatbridge, Lanarkshire.
Among the bargains up for grabs was a baby safety seat reduced to £11.25, a changing mat/travel bag reduced from £6 to £3 and scanned Tommee Tippee insulated bottle bags for £3.37.
There was also a huge pile of baby carriers reduced to £8, plus a flat cot that would be perfect for holidays on sale for £17.50.
But the bargain that parents were most excited about was a travel umbrella.
The Red Kite umbrella, which can be attached to most prams and prams, costs £10 online.
But Ashleigh spotted it on sale for just £3 in her local shop.
Asda bosses say it’s “lightweight, with a universal clamp and a compact fold”.
They added: “This product fits most strollers and comes with a carry bag with strap.”
And mums and dads are desperate to get their hands on one after our weekend of scorching weather when someone said: “This would be perfect for the stroller.”
A second wrote: “Ooooh, I’ll be there in a minute, I’ll have a look.”
Tagging a loved one, a third pleaded: “If you get anywhere near Asda, can you look for the umbrellas on the trolley please?”
“I need the umbrella,” said a fourth.
A fifth pleaded: “Stay tuned please.”
