Posting on Facebook, the mom revealed the name, and it’s so bad that people begged her to never use it.

“If I ever have a son, I would love to name him Lucifer (and maybe the middle name Morningstar), trust me, I know what will come with that in the future,” she said.

“There will be extremely religious parents who won’t let their kids play with my son because of his name, but I think Lucifer is a really cool name.

She continued: “I wish I wasn’t connected to the devil. What does everyone think about this?”

Understandably, people were shocked by her name choice and some couldn’t believe she was serious about loving it so much.

One said: “Lucifer Morningstar Girl is a horrible name to give a dog, let alone a child.”

“It seems like a recipe for being bullied all your life, let’s stop giving our children dog names,” commented a second on the post.

And a third chimed in: “You know this is going to cause a difficult future for your child, why would you put them through this on purpose?”

“If you had an ounce of love for your son you wouldn’t do it,” another added.

“This is the kind of thing I thought was really cool when I was 14, but I’ve grown up,” someone shot back.

I named my 3 month old baby after a fruit – people say she’ll hate me for it but I don’t care

“I can’t tell if this is a joke or not. My opinion? Think about the impact a name will have on a child, not just whether you think the name is cute.

“It may be a good nickname, but if this child interacts with religious children or adults throughout his life, there is a good chance that he will end up hating it and it is possible that he will resent you for it,” warned another.

Meanwhile, someone else joked: “If his name is Lucifer, you’ll have to call his brother Beelzebub.”

And another shared some other name suggestions: “Maybe Dante, Damian, Lucius, Lucian?

The name is not the only one that has sparked controversy on social media recently.

On Reddit, a woman revealed that a family friend recently adopted a daughter and decided to give her an incredibly unusual name, ABCDE.

The woman revealed that the name should be pronounced “absidy,” which in itself is a pretty unique nickname.

Conveniently, the parents’ last name starts with F, which means the child is called ABCDE F.

The woman said: “I have a family friend (they are friends of my parents) and they named their adopted daughter “ABCDE” and their last names conveniently start with “F”.

The girl’s name should sound like ‘absidy’.

“I can’t help but feel bad for the poor baby, she’s not much older than 4 or 5.”

The name sent Reddit viewers into a frenzy, and people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One person said: “I’m so glad I was born and raised in Germany where names like this are illegal.”

A second person joked: “Meet my daughter, Abcde, and my son, Qwerty.”
