PARENTS were left frantic after spotting an adorable Bluey collection that won’t break the bank.
It’s the blockbuster children’s cartoon that follows a family of dogs and has become a firm favorite with kids and their parents alike – and now you can treat your little fan to an adorable Bluey collection in time for the school holidays.
The popular Australian cartoon, which first aired in 2018, has since seen a number of Bluey-inspired toys being sold on the high street and in supermarkets.
Now another retailer has joined its rivals, offering a gorgeous Bluey dining set for just £2 – or even less.
The discovery was recently made by a mother, Chelsea Martin, who took to Facebook to inform other parents and her Bluey superfans.
According to the buyer, a lesser-known discount store, One Beyond, was selling a number of kitchen essentials for children, including a placemat for £1 and a plate that also cost a pound.
All of the adorable dinner must-haves featured the famous animated dogs against a leafy background — and it’s easy to see why they’ve already become a hit.
Other goodies that the mother managed to put in, she displayed the postit included a Bluey bowl costing £1 and a plastic cup selling for £1.25.
”They also had a spoon and fork – £1. Also had the lunch box for £2,” the bargain hunter added in the caption.
It’s also worth checking out the discount store if your mini me prefers other cartoons – as there are lots of other options.
These, Chelsea shared, included Spider-Man, Stich, as well as Peppa Pig and Bing.
Needless to say, the news took over the Internet, with other parents flocking to the comments to tag their friends and family.
”Right… looks like we’re redecorating our kitchen,” one person laughed.
“I need it!” another interrupted, already planning a trip to the nearest store.
One mother wrote: ”Thanks for posting. I got some in Robroyston too and a magic paint set.
Unfortunately, not everyone was thrilled with the kitchen essentials as one parent warned others about the poor quality.
”The design does not stay on the plate/bowl for long.
What to Look for When Buying Toys Online
HERE are the British Toy and Hobby Association’s top tips for buying toys online:
- Buy early. Don’t leave our shopping to the last minute rush, which can leave you with fewer options on where to buy.
- Check out third-party sellers. Look for sellers you recognize and trust. Be careful with retailers you don’t know and do your research by checking reviews and where they are located.
- Opt for branded toys. Try choosing a branded toy, as you will be able to compare it with the manufacturer’s own website to see if it is legitimate.
- Be careful when opting for the cheapest price. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- Check if there are any age restrictions. Make sure you give children appropriate toys according to their age.
- Check reviews carefully. Some reviews are fake, so look closely at the reviews.
- Stay with the kids at first. When your child opens a toy for the first time, stay with it and check for defects, small removable parts, access to the filling, and loose or accessible batteries or magnets.
”My daughter has the set and the plate and bowl are now blue.”
One Beyond launched just over four years ago and currently has more than 100 stores nationwide, The Sun previously reported.
The discount retailer sells 4,000 different products for £1, with thousands more being sold for a higher price.
Chris Edwards, CEO, previously told The Sun: “We look forward to bringing the incredible value of One Beyond to even more shoppers across the UK.”
