On social media, a woman revealed that she fought with her cousin over the name she chose for her daughter.

She wrote: “My cousin is mad because I replied ‘r/tragedeigh’ in our family group chat.”

The term ‘tragedy’ is often used online to describe when someone chooses a baby name that people don’t like.

She continued, “My family is what I would call ‘quirky’ because they are kind of troubled and using the right term would definitely offend them.”

She revealed that her cousin recently gave birth to a baby girl and shared photos on her Facebook page.

Her cousin then shared the post in the family group chat, which included the unique name she had chosen.

“Her daughter’s name is Lylyt Yvyh Yryhl, read as ‘Lilith Eva Uriel’,” the woman revealed.

“I was laughing so hard when I read it and she said she wanted her son to be ‘cool and unique.’

“I replied ‘r/tragedeigh’ and she didn’t understand until a younger family member explained what my response was.”

But it seems her joke didn’t go down well with her cousin, who responded by saying that normal names were shit and lacked creativity.

I’m a mother of 11 and my kids are called a ‘bunch of future criminals’ – I don’t care what trolls say about my upbringing, but I will never let them attack my babies

“She then told me that my name is sexier and that my parents aren’t creative, which is why I have a ‘basic’ name (my parents were also in the conversation, btw),” she explained.

Despite her anger, the woman maintained her opinion, adding that she knew she was “mean” for making the comment.

O publish shared on Reddit went viral with thousands of comments.

Many revealed that she was right in pointing out how bad the names were.

Another commented: “Most of these poor kids seem to grow up resentful of their parents.”

“Looks like she got her name from an eye exam sheet,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Oh God, that poor child…”

“”I named my son after the sounds I made the morning after eating gas sushi station,” said a fifth.
