CHOOSING a baby’s name is complicated and sometimes parents can regret their choice.
This was certainly the case with a mother who decided she hates her son’s name 11 months later and people say it sounds like a “serial killer”.
Taking to Redditshe opened up about her son’s unusual nickname.
She wrote: “I had my son almost 11 months ago and we named him Karver McClain. “Before I even got pregnant, I decided on the name McClain.
“I don’t even remember where I heard the name but I know I immediately fell in love with the name.
“But my baby’s father didn’t feel the same way, so we compromised and picked his middle name, which was fine with me at the time because I couldn’t think of a middle name that sounded good. therefore.”
The woman revealed that it was her mother who was reading a list of names and discovered the nickname “Karver”.
She continued: “I heard he loved it and so did his dad.
“I thought it looked stupid with a C, so we wrote K and put it on the birth certificate.
“We feel good about it, but fast forward a few months later and I start to guess.
“I asked for opinions on a baby’s name Facebook group and got more than 80 answers, all bad.
“Several people said it was a perfect name for a serial killer and others told me they would hate their mother forever if she called them Karver.
“Others are just telling me it’s horrible.
“I guess what I’m asking is should we start calling him by his middle name?
“Is it too late for that now that he is almost a year old and knows his name?
“Is his name as bad as everyone says?”
Many people confirmed their fears and said they were also unsure about the name.
