It is forecast to reach 24 degrees this weekend.

Which means parents will be looking for ways to keep their kids cool and entertained while they’re away from school.

However, some savvy mums and dads have noticed there’s an epic deal on paddling pools at Argos.

Tina took it to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook Group to share the bargain.

“I don’t know if it’s been posted yet but 4ft pools £6 at Argos ATM…,” she wrote.

“I just bought one for the kids before the mad rush starts for them!”

She also shared a photo of the Bestway 4ft Fun Odyssey Pool, reduced from £12 to just £6.

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “I bought this for £12 when someone originally posted it here for that price.”

“We managed to get one for our dogs this morning,” said another, revealing another clever use for the pool.

“They also have 7ft for £10,” pointed out a third, alongside a screenshot of the other Argos deal.

Reviews of the 4ft pool also continued on the Argos website, with one mum writing: “My son loves this pool – perfect size for him.

“Quick and easy supply, as you don’t have to worry about buying a bomb to explode.

I’m a mom and I discovered a simple way to leave your kiddie pool open overnight and keep the bugs away… you can thank me later

“Highly recommended.”

“This is great when you want the little ones to play with water for a short while,” said another.

“It saves getting out of the bigger pool!”

“A beautiful pool,” commented a third.

“Very sturdy, quick to inflate and big enough for kids to have fun.”

“I bought this for my puppy and it is perfect,” wrote another person.

Five ways to keep your kids cool in the heat

It can be very difficult – and expensive – to keep kids cool when it’s hot outside. But Fabulous Digital Senior Reporter and mom of two Sarah Bull shares five ways you can help, and they won’t break the bank either.

Take them off

It may seem simple, but getting kids out of the house can really help them regulate their temperature when it’s hot outside. Just remember to apply sunscreen regularly as more of your skin will be exposed to the sun.

Cool rooms before dark

When it’s hot outside, it can be hard for kids to sleep — especially if their room feels like an oven. If you have a room that doesn’t receive direct sunlight, keep the windows open to let in the breeze. It’s also a good idea to keep the curtains closed to prevent the room from getting hot.

Wear a hat

Another simple technique, but one that really works. Make sure that if your children are playing outside, they are wearing a hat. It keeps your face and head protected from the sun and also helps if you have a child who struggles with bright sunlight. If your child has trouble keeping their hat on, try one with a strap that goes under their chin to help.

Avoid the car

The car can be one of the hottest places during a heatwave and it often takes a long time to cool down. If you have the option, it’s better to stay home than take the kids everywhere in a hot car.

Stay hydrated

This is always important, but even more so in a heat wave. Remember to regularly remind your children to have a drink and top them up with cold liquids whenever you can. Use ice as well to ensure it is as cold as possible.

“Sturdy enough for it to go in and out of.

“And since it’s not exploding, I’m not worried about him blowing it up.”

As another added: “Bought this for our granddaughter who had hours of fun the first time we used it.

“Not as big as other pools – however the advantage of this is that it doesn’t take long to fill or empty at the end of a fun-filled day.”
