A mother was left shocked after her daughter received a school essay about the length of her skirt.
Tink and her 12-year-old daughter Ruby took to social media to share the letter, which was deemed ‘ridiculous’.
And it looks like this isn’t the first time Ruby has gotten into trouble for not following the school’s strict dress code.
I’m going to make an album for Ruby with these letters

Tink said, “Ruby is home. And we also received another letter from the school.
“I’m going to make an album for Ruby with these letters, so she can remember them when she’s older.”
The mother revealed that her daughter was sent home with a letter to remind her of the school’s dress code and rules.
Ruby was wearing a black skirt as per school policy, but found that it was too short as it sat just above her knees rather than over or below them.
The pair explained that Ruby was tall for her age, which made finding the right skirt length difficult.
The mother then revealed the uniform rules the school had set – reminding the mother of them all, despite the teacher claiming the skirt was the problem.
“Ruby Ellen is currently not adhering to the school uniform policy, in regards to this, here is the school uniform list,” the mother read.
The list included wearing tailored pants, not skinnies, jerseys, jeans or leggings.
Skirts must be knee length or longer, no jersey, polished Lycra shoes, bootssandals, high heels, canvas shoes, pumps or sneakers.
To top it off, no makeup or facial piercings were allowed and all students must wear black socks and a blazer.
The robust list of rules left many viewers shocked.
“We also just found out that she doesn’t even allow colored hairbands,” said the stunned mother.
The clip posted to his TikTok account @cherries_87 It has since gone viral with over 1.8 million views and 200,000 likes.
People quickly took to the comments, claiming the school’s rules were ridiculous.
One person wrote: “Schools are getting ridiculous, forcing kids to dress for office work they probably won’t work in and then limiting their education because of it!
Another commented: “Schools They’re so irrational.”
“This is so stupid. Why are the rules so strict,” wrote a third.
